As far as water in your air lines from the compressor, get a water separator/air dryer & install it coming out of your air compressor. That will eliminate the water problem. I'll let the professional painters here give you the rest of the information as for painting your truck.
Update time, the friend who was having engine oil manufacturing problems contacted me this afternoon with his truck situation. The trucks filters were not a part of his problem, just an odd symptom. The two almost full 5 gallon buckets of oil & diesel fuel were causing oil to blow past the...
I would be happy just to find a M1082 to try & figure out how to load it, but all of them seem to be 400+ miles away as the 18 wheeler flys/drives. One day maybe.
The weight isn't the big gorilla in this picture, its being able to sling load it with long enough forks. You have enough fork to make a basket sling or hook chains to the lifting eyes on the attachments built into the trailer. The big lifts that they have @ a lot of the GL/GP sites will do the...
Here is how I camp on the MV meets, look inside the back of the Deuce to see how much room there is! Oh, there is a camera in there to be able to keep an eye on the stuff if it starts to shift during the trip.
If you can't see any space, its because somebody threw an air conditioner & a...
Re: Fuel & oil woes when they wind up mixed in the wrong place!
A fellow Steel Soldier in the Ocala area had a problem with his Deuce today of fuel spraying out of what he thought was the primary filter. The filter has not been checked or replaced in eons, so off to NAPA with the numbers I gave...
I've used the Deuce to sleep in for the last three MV meets here in Florida with no real problems. The only issue is the 3 new in crates Deuce staves, bows & covers that fill up 2/3's of the room in the back (I thought they might sell). After putting the military cot up, there is no room left to...
James is a real trooper when it comes to wheeling & dealing. I don't see how he gets around so well on that shattered leg, but he keeps going & doesn't complain. I've watched him move LMTV tires complete with rims like they were nothing. What he really needs is more folks to take a few more...
On my Deuce, I installed a rear view camera system that allows me to use the camera over the pintle to hook up a trailer as well as see whats going on behind me. The second camera lets me monitor the blind sport on the right side of the truck, you can switch between screens or use a split...
I have a 701a & it is LOUD despite the ASK, not to mention heavy & large. The battery will run you about $285.00 dealer cost from NAPA (it is an ITAR also)& the charging circuit is prone to failure. Your much better off with the 831a as it is readily available for surplus purchase & parts are...
Jwade, they may replace the person in your old job, but they will never replace how well you performed your duties & took care of the many, many problems that always cropped up with auction results & issues that came up later on. I personally owe you a great big Thank You for helping straighten...
I am not sure about this one, but can a 3 phase MEP-804A be converted to single phase without a large amount of changes? Is it a doable project or a long shot. I do know that most other smaller gensets have selector switches just to do that, but am unsure of this unit! :?
