Were you able to keep your front shackles with that install?

    M1009 front hub gets Warm

I edited your title to reflect the hub getting warm and not hot. The title was misleading.

    1008 question

Warn 25855 front mount receiver will work with minor modifications. That’s only if you intend to keep your front tow/tie down shackles. If not, direct bolt on.

How to rehabilitate trailer connector cable?

The two brand new ones I installed on my trailers over two years ago or so are already showing small cracks in the rubber. They simply were not made to last the life of the trailer. Sun and heat are killers on the rubber. Mine sit in the sun a few hours each day and shade the rest. Once the...

    Front pintle hook on M1008

Found the picture I was talking about in an earlier post. 2” receiver mounted under bumper. I thought it was mounted direct to bumper but I clearly remembered it wrong. Rethinking plans now.

Glow Plug Wait Lamp problem coming on randomly

Check the wiring coming from the GP card housing very close. Others have had old wiring break, but the insulation showed no external damage. Agree also about the grounds. Just a thought.

m1028 duallies -what were they used for

Thanks for the pic. Would be nice to see the OPs. The OP isn’t posting pics of the complete truck or it’s data plate.

    Front pintle hook on M1008

I don’t think I will need the swivel Pintle since I will only moving the M101A2s and the Nf2d around on fairy flat surfaces. Anything more than that and I will just turn the truck around. The pintle I will use is the basic 4 bolt, non-swivel like pictured in the above post. Looked behind my...

    Oil leak

Wait a bit and someone will chime in that’s dealt with that issue already. I personally have never tackled that particular issue before.

    Front pintle hook on M1008

Exactly the info I’m looking for. Can you post pictures of the backing you used? Plan is to plasma cut two pieces of 1/4” steel roughly the size of a license plate. One for front side of bumper and one for the back side. The bumper steel itself will be sandwiched between the two plates...

    Front pintle hook on M1008

I have a shop, lift, welder and stock steel and can fabric something much more involved IF I have to. Would like to see what other guys have done when they attached the Pintle directly to bumper. Can I use just a simple backing plate and call it good or ?? Want to know what has worked for...

    Front pintle hook on M1008

Would prefer not to go that route. It will only be used to park trailers and move around my NF2D light tower. The NF2D is heavy and would like to see the backing plates used so I don’t bend bumper.

m1028 duallies -what were they used for

Well everyone on this site loves pictures. A request has been made for a picture of your truck, not just the bumper. It doesn’t have to be for sale to post a picture of it. Guys like to see the truck your asking questions about.

    Front pintle hook on M1008

Revival of old thread. Want to install Pintle on the front bumper on my M1008A1. Any issues with this setup? What backing is recommended? Pics would be great, including the backing plates, etc.. I did find two pictures from another members cucv. I know there are front mount 2” receiver...
