Metal Magnets's M211 teardown and future rebuild.

It's just plain cruelty to leave us hanging like that. :D

Neat! Can you post pictures of replacing that seal? Sounds like I am going to need to do it in the near future.

    M37.....Here we go again

I was leaning toward using Packard connectors. Glad to hear you say that is the way to go. I have found a source for all of the parts except for the numbered tabs. Where do you get those?

    M37.....Here we go again

Those look great!!! Did you wire turn signals into your M37? How did you do it? I'm needing to wire some into my M135 and figured it would have to be done similar.

Does anyone have a source for these clips? They hold the brake and vent hoses in this channel.

    The unofficial g749 picture thread

A friend of mine that is in the Army sent this picture to me. He said it is sitting in the motor pool and no one knows why. Yes I am trying to find out if they need it hauled off and out of their way. Thought it was neat the Army still has some around.

    1952 M135 W/O Winch (USMC 00-08s other truck)

Then you know what I am talking about. My knees hit the steering wheel when shifting an M35, M54, M813,etc. I just sit back and enjoy the ride in the G749 series. I'm not sure why the military designed most of their vehicles for short guys.

We need pictures or video....or it didn't happen. I would love to have one of the REB shift kits. Sounds like you got a real good truck.

I think you should. If you have never driven one, they are a different animal. I'm probably 6'3" tall and these are by far the most comfortable trucks for me to fit in.

Thanks guys. I hope to finish up my other truck this summer and then start on this truck. Time for me to learn about these transmissions now.

    1952 M135 W/O Winch (USMC 00-08s other truck)

Can you PM me details on them, etc.? Everything is tied up in my other truck at the moment, but I can plan ahead on yours if it works for me to buy them from you in the future.

    1952 M135 W/O Winch (USMC 00-08s other truck)

I can hardly keep up with me. Always think I can do more than what is possible. I've put this truck on hold until I finish the other one. Working on two at once was getting overwhelming. I'm working on a video that shows the problems with this truck. Hope to post it to Youtube soon.

I forgot to show you guys this. Found an Army button in the door when I took off the lower panel to vacuum sand out.
