Good step forward, or slightly sideways but not back,.... nice. Appreciate the quick updates and keep them coming. The Iltis info for highway use is in the MLU forum I believe. We should be able to chase the 'legal' documents from there. What do they want? It's interesting that they asked you to...
Political timing
I gotta share this, it's too funny. This poor lad on the right just showed up at my house asking for support in the upcoming election. ..... and me sitting here with my balding head all up in a roar over MV restrictions. Kerry Diotte is a name rich in French history so I'd like...
This issue was recognized a little earlier so I'll pile the links here of ongoing discussions up north. If someone is already steering the canoe I'll just jump in and paddle until the big heads on the table give up some good ideas. Meanwhile, anyone that wants to make an inquiry and jingle some...
There should be two other portfolios affected by a decision like this too. Tourism as well as Heritage and Culture. Sometimes they're glummed together under one minister so I'll jab the list tonight and get more contact info up.
Mikey Mcbryan and Buffalo Air just saved a rotting DC-3 out of...
I didn't get a letter. I don't think the rest of Canada got a letter, anyone south of the border get a letter? I hope they gave up an exemption for the Canadian Military. Those LSVW's they use look a lot like the LSVW's we use. Sounds like a lot of folks need to get on the phone.
How will we...
That's a fair price. Is that the route you're going? I wonder what they're planning on doing for the seals and wee piston.
The collector hobby guys would really like "Repair Kits" put together so we can do them ourselves. Putting thousands of man hours and dollars into the MV's for events...
Spring 2019, late start to Canada Day
Finally got the chance to get some hay cut for the pasture herd and grabbed a few pics of some remarkable damage to Goose. The grass is so tall even the 5 ton can't keep up with grazing.
We're real wet so the crops are up, gardens are pushing hard and...
CD EMO Deuce
Those are the stories that we can only find on Steel Soldiers! We've heard about ridiculous weights being hauled with the M135 and other stories about logistics knowing the weight of every load. What was your experience with max. weight loads?
I'd say you and your Dad are part of...
It's a small world, we just acquired a Radar Base in Saskatchewan.........and have no idea how to operate it. https://westcentralcrossroads.ca/2018/06/29/alsask-radar-dome-eager-owner/
There are a few M135's for sale on line. Do you want one complete or a fix'er up'er?
Do you have any winter...
Build em or buy em,
What part of the world were you in when you drove them? I'm always looking for guys that have stories about the Early Deuce off road abilities and experiences. All adventures are welcome!
Did you service them too? Operators had a lot of responsibilities up north here but I...
Happy Fathers Day, A new bubbling baby bombardier. Is it a boy or girl? Having that at the G749 farm could have killed us.

June 8, 2019 Onoway Parade,
The first time we drove the M1010 Adventures into this town almost a decade ago, only two other MV's showed up. The local MVPA has been showing up in volumes since that first parade and 2019 was even better. The M923 was there and even won a trophy, more on that...
hmmm, tips?
Once north of the border, to confirm the person you're speaking with understands what you said, add ....eh... to the end of the sentence. "Nice day eh!" The response could be, "Sure is by, stay where your at I'll come where you're to!"....or...a different reference, ""Boston's going...
Stuck in the Muck
Hey folks, good news, this just in, the Dozer is out!
Not long ago I got stuck in muck that never was muck before. A new wet area appeared, I found it and needed a soldier B to help get me out. I walked the half mile, uphill, to get Goose before heading to the nearest...
Goes earns more stripes.
There's been so much going on we'll never catch up so let's start with today. Goose earned some stripes and a medal today.
Who's the guy that made up that saying...."No good deed goes unpunished?".
A neighbour from the farm calls last night, a little sad, a little...
Did you put in a fresh engine oil filter and new oil? It's a tough little motor so let's keep some hope.
We've seen a lot of tar, sticky oil, bitumen, whatever you want to call it, in the filter housing, page 184 TM 9-8024. The drain plug on the filter wasn't big enough to let the blobs out so...
Are we invited?
If so........ and your clay soils drain well, could you block the frame and keep the suspension from taking the load? You wouldn't need to do more than block it at its current stance to keep the weight off the springs. You obviously can't drain the water where the truck sits...
Maybe someone else will remember this cartoon image. It was likely in the 70's, it wasn't the 60's but maybe into the early 80's, my older brother may have left a playboy magazine out. It could have been a popular science or popular mechanics but I seem to recall playboy/ penthouse. The cartoon...
Looks like the license plate says 05' so she might have worked not that long ago. Real groovy seeing the stick shift coming out of the floor. Thanks for sharing the pics on one of the most repurposed vehicles we know.
It doesn't look like the G749 tractor version M221...which would be rare...
Bringing the goods home
We just had a multi fuel show up from the U.S., the 923 came up last winter, the 931 a few winters before that, the USMC 4x4 and Paaring Fort Indian Town Gap P-4 came up many years ago.
I'll send you a PM with some contact info.
