Steel Soldiers MV of the YEAR 2015 - VOTE HERE

Thanks everybody, here is my 1967 Kaiser Jeep M715 that I bought in Sept. of 2004 and began restoration in Dec. of 04' and rolled out of my shop April of 2005 all finished. Restoration was a complete frame off and every piece of metal was stripped to bare metal. This was my first MV and has...

Picked up an M715 recently. Can't find the TM here, though.

Congrats, the good news is that if the cab is the only thing in bad shape, there are many common parts in the cab of the M715 from the Jeep Gladiator pick-ups. Things like floor boards, rockers, cab corners and even the door shells are the same or can be modified slightly to fit the M715. As...

    M715 in the Bankhead Convoy

Congrats on a successful run. Truck looks great.

I am in the 715 club

Nice find, the smoking maybe a hardened valve seal if the truck has not been run for several years, and may soften back up some once it gets some oil and heat going back through it. As for down on power, I would pull and check the plugs to see if one is fouled due to the oil and do a...

    A&K M60VN Modification help

The pin should be there. I have used the platform mount on my A&K M60 and found that the front arm where it hooks into the open slot on the bottom of the handguard to no line up. But it was an easy fix as all I did was weld an extra tab of metal to the front hook on the arm so that it reached...

Cross Country convoy - MVPA Bankhead 2015

Bob, I don't know why it is that you always seam so negative towards everyone's ideas here. If you think the M715 is such a horrible truck that has so many faults, then why do you keep posting about them. These trucks were designed to travel at military convoy speeds of 45mph all day long with...

Cross Country convoy - MVPA Bankhead 2015

He'll be just fine. I believe the last MVPA Cross Country Convoy had a max speed of 45mph. These trucks will run that speed all day long.

    Kalamazoo, MI

Actually if you fully read that you will see that the width limit is 102" which is the same width as my enclosed race trailer. He should be just fine. Welcome to the mitten, I'm north of Kzoo at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes along the shores of Lake Michigan.

    New M715 owner

Welcome, there is a guy over at the M715zone.com who makes new cab bow sets. As for mirrors, you could try and fit a set off of a late 80's Grand Wagoneer as it uses the same door shell. Powering them is going to be the trick if your truck is still the stock 24 volt set-up. New Life Canvas is...

good idea or am I crazy

Why bother with the Por-15. I've heard of people having problems with it pealing up if the prep work is not done per Por-15 instuctions. Also if you are doing a Vietnam era Army marked truck, the propper color is #24087. And most people tend to stear away from Aervoe paint as it tends to fade...

    Experimental 5/4t? - XM705

Especially since around that time would have been the switch from Jeeps military vehicle division to AM General once AMC bought Jeep. Being that AM General designed and produced the HMMWV, I would assume the same engineers would have been involved in both vehicles.

    Looking to buy an m725

Just remember that at highway speeds you will be driving the most un-aerodynamic vehicle out there. It's like driving a flying shoe box. Also they are fairly hot in the summer due to lack of ventilation. But they are fun to drive and I love cruising my around in the summer. Mine is all...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month - January VOTE HERE!

Bump for the day crew. Thanks everyone so far, I'm floored by all the support for my 67' M715. This vehicle was marked for the 313th ASA out of FT. Bragg which was a unit my father served with in the early 60's. They were sent to Key West FL. during the Cuban Missile Crisis and stayed in a...

MV of the Month Nominations Jan 2015

One pic is in my driveway and the other two are out on a public road right after a snow storm. The road crews had not been out to salt yet so I went for a nice ride in the fresh snow.

MV of the Month Nominations Jan 2015

I'll throw my hat in the ring with a nice winter pic of my 1967 Jeep M715. With all this cold weather I figured a nice snow pic would be fitting.
