Yep, I have been making the proper SeaBee logo's in either decals or paint masks. Amanco was kind enough to provide me with a good clean copy of the logo he had. They can been puchased from my decal site at: http://www.i2k.com/~schwarzd/
I know with the fuel prices this year that it is going to be hard on most folks to get to a lot of shows. That's why I wanted to get this out there early on so that people could plan for it well in advance. It should be a great show again.
This is the 3rd annual Military Vehicle Show & Swap meet which is part of the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Apple & BBQ Festival. The Show is on saturday September 13th 2008 and runs from 10am to 4pm. This will be the third year for this show and it just seams to be getting better and bigger. Plus...
Here are a few pics from the local parade here. I brought all 3 trucks out for the parade. As usual we loaded those vets who could no longer make the color march through town into the back of the trucks. All of them are very thankful that I bring the trucks so that they can still participate...
I have my eye on a 5 ton wrecker that I might pick up if the price drops a little more. My problem with a 5 ton is that I'm running out of garage/workshop space to store one.
Thanks, guys. No museum, just a big garage! And for some reason I seam to have enough space for an additional MV just about the size of a M38a1 or Mutt left.
I had all the trucks out the other day and lined them up for a little motorpool inspection and photo op. They are; 53' Dodge M37, 67' Kaiser Jeep M715, and a 67' Kaiser Jeep M35a2. Enjoy!
I'm planning on putting a set of Selectro's on the M37 I just finished but need to figure out which part # they are. My shop is a Milemarker dealer and I can buy them direct, I just want to make sure I get the right ones. From looking in thier book I believe that they are the 11022-01 which...
Maxim, you do like a challenge don't you! If you need parts, I know Pierre Jalving in Holland has a few depending on what you need. I have to head down there on Monday to pick up some parts for my deuce. Otherwise look north and bug Lane. He has a stash of 37 parts that I got some pieces...
Also on a side note, the Revell M34 kit is a hard top truck. I cut the top off the one I built and plan to add it to one of the AFV Club m35s I have left to build. I have checked the fit and it is very close and should go on without major mods.
I thought that I read somewhere in a manual that 1/4 ton vehicles didn't use bridge wieght plates because the were the lightest class and could pass on any vehicular bridge that military had. There for no need to have them.
Yep. AFV Club has the best M35 series of vehicles in 1/35th They have the M35a1 Gun Truck "Nancy", the M35a2 Cargo, and the M49a2c. They can usually be found fairly easily on ebay or in modeling forums. Revell made a M34 model that can be found, but it is very light on detail compared to the...
