Why would alternator Wire 566 be unhooked and taped up? I have seen this on several trucks and now i am having an electrical issue and found it has been done on my wrecker.
Okay I am working on a rally at Camp Shelby for the 4th of July. If all goes well it will be at the Armed Forces Museum on base. I will be posting a poll of who all would like to come.
Sorry up front about the nomenclature for I am a newbie about the radios I have 10 rt524's that I need to get up and going. From what I have read both antennas can be used but the 1729 is best. Is this true and if so would it hurt my radios to use the 3900? These will be used for the Mississippi...
Just found out that there are two different control boxes for the 939 series and the black one requires that you switch the lights on on the headlight switch to get any lights on the CTIS. The unit will still work but you can't tell what mode you are in if you don't turn on the lights, the...
There were 46 trucks at RSMS Camp Shelby that got a complete rebuild and never issued out. 24 were sold 2/27/14 and I got one, I have wanted one for two years as I got to watch how they were built. Here's a picture of the one I got.
Don't pull more than 14,500 lbs single line. This is for 816. This is straight out of the TM.
The 936 shouldn't pull more than 16,500 or 17,000 lbs single line according to the dataplate. Yes the winch can pull 45,000 but the safe will of the cable and chain cannot.
Anyone have the tm for installing a fording kit? Or have installed one themselves? Need all information I can find I have a scrap truck with a kit on it and I want to pull it and reinstall it in my truck and don't want to miss anything
Fired up my 1010 after a lot of ripping out of wires and drove it about 4 miles then coming down the drive it stuck part of the way open, glad I had good brakes. Used my toe and it came back but the more we played with it the worse it became. Tried spray lube on the outside of the shaft on both...
Hey folks that do and don't know me, all are invited to come, MV not required. All day Saturday and if you want or need to camp I have one or two hook ups and enough room for lots of unhooked camping. We will be doing some burgers and you can bring anything else if you like. If you can come hit...
Just talked to a CWO4 that was in Iraq and drove a 1031 And deuce in the unit my 1028a2/1031 was in and he showed me where shrapnel from a mortar went through the truck and give me a little bit of the war history of the truck said truck had been back and forth from top to bottom of Iraq many...

Okay I am asked by lots of people almost every week what I would check/change on a truck. So as I remember them I will post them. If I put up any bad information call me on it. If you have a question about what I have posted ask. This is my opinion and no one else's.
