I would also check temp with a heat gun or known good gauge. These trucks run cool and should not jump that fast. Might be a good idea to flush and fresh coolant if all is good.
Mine had a lot of crud and mud. Dont forget to flush heater also.

There are a few flavors of dolly and different tire sizes. Some use the deuce 900 and others use the 10 bolt budd wheel to tow behind a 5 ton. There is also some smaller dollies that take 15 or 16 inch tires but do not recall nomenclature.

They have to present it to underwriters as historic classic antique not a daily driver or commercial. I think it helped as I already had the hmmwv as a classic.

I wonder if there were more specialized variants than troop carriers of the long wheel base. There is also the USMC ISO version of the long bed. I suspect most of those were used for cargo and general hauling.
