I am curious as to how these lighting cubes work. I know the bottom is an IR light. The top 2 hid lights. Are they motorized on the inside to adjust or are they just fixed mount? Uncle paid $1500 and I am trying to determine what is that they do for the buck? I am thinking they are just like the light bars but 2 lights stacked on top of each other.

Can the 2 hid lights be independently turned on off?

Would anyone have measurements on them?

Would anyone know the part number for the harness or the connector at the light?

Were these used on HMMWV's and does anyone have pictures of them mounted?

I appreciate any insight you can share.

I've never see one of those, but it looks just the 24" Ibis Tek light bars, but in a different form factor (2 HID lights, 1 IR). I'd expect the lights are fix mounted, but if you were to open it up, there is probably some play in the bolts and you might be able to change their angle slightly. You likely will not find a separate control harnesses.

Per controlling the lights, I would also expect the only separate control to be HID and/or IR (not each HID light separately) -- but maybe Ibis Tek made use of some of the not used pins in that connector. That receptacle appears to the same 10-pin connector used on at least the 72", 66", and 24" light bars. Here's some pin-out information for you on that TE Connectivity circular connector, P/N 213906-1:

Also, it may (or may not?) be of some use to you to see inside of a 66" Ibis Tek light bar. I found the 24" ones be of the exact same design, just fewer components. I wouldn't expect much variation on that cube.

Thanks as that is what I am thinking. I appreciate the links!

I have not purchased but have access to some. My thought is to take the cover and look at the wires in the connector.

For giggles, I found a gsa price list and the 24inch light bar also cost $1500 to uncle sugar. That kind of tells me it is the same thing just double stacked.

Most of the IBES TEK cubes were used on MRAPS and such.
I haven't seen any like the ones you have pictured however they looked like they are fixed so to speak the others I have seen are on a pan and tilt unit.
They are controlled by the full size control box with two pan and tilt controls on them.
Finding the wiring harness to go with the full control box it like finding a needle in a hay stack .
Only one person I know might have a wiring harness.
Good luck getting any info from IBES TEK or even a pin out and diagram.

Juan, here is a picture of the inside of a 45"bar. It's not the best photo, but may give you the insight needed.

I'm not seeing mechanization for movement/direction of lights. I think the control boxes are a bit more difficult to come by.

Well, You can now see part of my plan, as I picked up this new box last year by accident for a song (9.99 free shipped) since it was miss spelled by the seller "Eibis" & had no clue what it was for and no one found it. I could not believe my luck that I got it for min bid. :)

Is this the box you had in mind?

That's the big box. you can see it shown on the document linked to above.
You even have the power in connector ty wrapped to it . But from there you are on your own.
I have the same box as well as the 66 and 24 " light bar. But ended up buying a complete lighting system from a different manufacturer for the MRAP complete with wiring harness wiring and two pan and tilt unit's similar to the cubes you pictured for under $500.
I haven't done anything with them yet but I sort of stopped looking for all the IBES TEK wiring after I got it.
