Throttle stuck at 50% - Help Please

I would also check temp with a heat gun or known good gauge. These trucks run cool and should not jump that fast. Might be a good idea to flush and fresh coolant if all is good. Mine had a lot of crud and mud. Dont forget to flush heater also.

    M840 trailer/ mobilizer question---

look at pics of a m832 dolly. There are a few flavors of dolly and different tire sizes. Some use the deuce 900 and others use the 10 bolt budd wheel to tow behind a 5 ton. There is also some smaller dollies that take 15 or 16 inch tires but do not recall nomenclature. Best to eyeball dataplate.

    Recharging Exide 6tmf

My son works at o'reillys. I have gotten 3 6tl's from him over the years. They have all failed in 2-3 years. Their batteries are not exides and there is a definite difference. I have also brought back old 4-6 year exides that kept going. They do need a long conventional charge and I used a...

LA 5 ton Insurance not parked in garage

They have to present it to underwriters as historic classic antique not a daily driver or commercial. I think it helped as I already had the hmmwv as a classic. Don't refer to it as a big truck or 18 wheeler or quote the weight as that throws them into a different mind set.

HMMWV M998 presentation across the Atlantic.

You are very patient and steady hand if you straightened all those fins with a feeler gauge! Very common for those to be bent as they are soft aluminum. There is a fin tool made for those and radiators. I assume there is something across the pond similar...

    M101 fuel tank option

I have the set up. It was on m101a1 and maybe m101. It has a front protective shield, 2 long brackets to mount the tank with 2 ordinary insulated fuel tank straps, fuel tank, filler neck, deuce style filler/strainer and a support strap for filler. Fuel tank has a vent to filler neck. Top of...

    Weird M939 20 foot bed... Insulated/shielded?

more flavors... I wonder if there were more specialized variants than troop carriers of the long wheel base. There is also the USMC ISO version of the long bed. I suspect most of those were used for cargo and general hauling.

    Weird M939 20 foot bed... Insulated/shielded?

there have been many variants of the m927/m928 with specialized platforms. I would concur that your truck bed is used on one of these flavors.

HMMWV M998 presentation across the Atlantic.

Yes, in the desert operations during the wars , some of the stock blackout lights were replaced with the red face round lights used on armor. It does fit just needs a little modification on the washer plate holding it to the fiberglass hood. Many of the special forces trucks did this. Check...
