RE: 2006 rally attendee
Jerry was a very cool guy. I can see why you guys have been friends for all those years. Ask him about our 2am 4-wheeler jaunt into the backwoods ;)
We talked about the plan to have the deuce in place for next year. It's an excellent idea!
Good to meet ya and ride...
Lance, thanks for the drag race! That was the most fun I have had in a long time! We will definitely arrange to have the first official deuce drags and other military vehicle drags at next year's rally.
WillWagner, thanks for volunteering to organize a West Coast Rally ;) I know a lot of...
Great pics Fred! Sorry to all that missed the rally. Plans will begin soon for Haspin '07! We had a blast even though the Mog couldn't make it. Thanks to everyone who gave rides to me and my brother, Chad. Thanks to Chris (Elohim1) for letting me take his pride and joy deuce out and blow...
Hey Stan,
Glad to have you coming to the Rally. The more the merrier and I can't think of a better way for a new guy to meet a bunch of the members! Firewood will be much appreciated. We'll get your M38 unloaded no problem. Chris and Fred are skilled at getting things in and out of their...
Here's what the t's look like: I'll bring them all to the Rally. Those who don't get them at the Rally will have to pay a little shipping to get it to your door. The final cost on these will be $11 for L, $12 for XL, and $13 for XXL. That basically covers our cost and puts a few bucks in the...
Ramps will work well too! I should have the portal box on the Mog back together tonight. I just talked to my brother this morning. He will be heading up to Franklin tomorrow afternoon where we will load the Mog up on the trailer and head out. Thanks to Lance, we'll be bringing a drop cord...
Sweet genset! We can back your deuce up against a hillside and use the Mog or one of the 715s to pull it out for you. Between you and Stretch, we'll have enough power to light and cool the whole camp!
Would you consider letting a Mogger in your midst for the photo op next year? ;)
I guess I could just wait around the corner and have my own photo
OK gang, we have 9 days left until Haspin '06!!
We need to start making final plans about who's bringing what vehicles, food, campground accessories, friends, relatives, etc...
I am planning on getting to Haspin around noon on Friday the 14th. I will be hauling the Mog in for it's second...
I posted the Rally on the Mil-Veh Mailing List and heard from a group of guys with Pinzgauers. We'll probably have 3 or 4 of them there. This is going to be a lot of fun!
If you get there thursday afternoon I think you will be the first. I haven't talked with anyone else who will be there that early. That should give you first pick of the prime campsites Dennis since I think most of the big groups got there Friday last year, right?
If there aren't any objections, I am going to post a general invite on the Mil-Veh list too. It might be a good opportunity to drum up some new members if we can get them to come to the Rally and corrupt them :)
So when is everyone planning on getting there? I am hoping to get there around noon this time so we can get camp set up and go wheeling for a while until it gets dark.
I am leaving Franklin Thursday night with my brother and will stay the night in Charleston, WV. We will head for Haspin in...
