Post 28 and 29 combine for some funny stuff. Thanks for the heads up, Rm.
I'll try my hardest with what scorpion said to do cause the red button problem is what is wrong with mine.
Artisan - there are a couple of SSers that like hanging out at the Ft. Bliss GL lot. I will point out your request to them and let them chime in or not. There is also a member from AZ that is at the lot a lot.
wtx - I don't necessarily mind getting stuck on occasion is someone with an equally...
Lots have used hardware store fitting on their trucks for this. Check out the thread on the dual fuel line mod for the NHC250. It is not like the pressures encountered on most other diesel injection pumps.
Not quite. The power switch and the "ignition" switch need to be on. But I have found that if your batteries are a little low (even just a very little) the solenoid will not pull in. Here is what I do when this happens. Turn on both switches. Then grab the fuel shutoff lever and turn it to the...
395/85R20s are 46+ inches but offer greater floatation because of the width. The Michelin XZLs are also rated for 12,300 lbs. each. However, they are only rated to 55 mph but then, so are the 14R20s.
I use good ole fashioned "bailin wahr". It is useful for many things at the same time. Of course the problem is finding old fashioned bales that use wire since most have nylon cord nowadays. (not really...I usually carry a roll of wire that I bought).
I had an M923A2 that made a mechanical noise in the tank like that. It was the fuel return flow. I do not hear that on my M936A2 though but I just got it and the tanks are still quite full. I also do not here it on my A1 truck but that is a different animal.
You can also pull the inlet pipe off of the turbo and see if the shaft spins freely (truck off - of course).
You can also idle it until warm and shut it down, then listen for the turbo as it spools down.
It's too bad I did not know you wanted to get rid of the paper clips on your bumper. I would have traded you bumpers. I am going to make and install some on my truck.
I saw you were also asking on the dual fuel line thread as well so we are talking about maybe 250 psi max?. I would not use regular hardware store compression fittings confidently. However, I would use the Parker stainless steel ones on steel lines. Big difference in quality. We use those at...
I made my homemade caps out of some PVC fittings. I do not remember the exact size but it was something like three inch flange adapters and glue on caps. Whatever the flange size was coincided close enough with the hub bolt pattern. I did have to machine the flange O.D. about a quarter inch or...
They still twist fairly easily even with the double frame. I know I was surprised how much mine twists with even a small amount of axle articulation. The double frame helps more with lengthwise loads. But I think frame twist is your friend while off-roading.
