I'm not sure he offered to sell it. He said he had sold them in the past for $650 and had one of the 60 he had made left .
That was a few years back if I remember correctly.
But I'd send he a message it wouldn't hurt.
Gamble those are exactly what I was talking about.
And they were made for the H1 and they used a spacer between the front and back lips and the front and back wheel wells.
I have a set of them I don't need anymore I ended up making my own so I could use the IBES TECH removable side steps or ammo...
The original hummer H1 style rocker panel/skid plates used spacers / brackets if you will to attach them to the vehicle.
If my memory is correct they attached to the footwell section and the rear bracket was attached similarly in the rear wheel well .
The factory units were very wide and...
Technical manual section.
Light switch
I'm guessing/ hoping you actually have the switch in the right position.
Open the hood and see if the wiring harness is connected.
Perhaps your buddy removed the hood and forgot to hook the head light wiring harness back up?
And a hydraulic press and some forming dies.
It's not round like a tube. at least in the center.
But then I guess if you didn't care to make it like an original one .
Just take note that depending on how much of the turret support structure is missing you may need to factor in upwards of an additional 5K to open up the big hole that has been covered over in your roof. You already have the hatch and sponsons that helps.
Be prepared for both the roof and your...
What have you done to it since you received it ?
Did you get it via auction?
or buy it from a private party?
So you say it's a 2003 are you sure or is that just what paperwork says.
What engine in it?
what Trans in it?
Turbo or N/A?
Welcome.
No help as far as mechanics. Since I'm on the left coast.
I would suggest learning how to wrench on it yourself .
They are not something to just get in and drive.
Learning at least the basic maintenance stuff is a must.
Take note of the Technical manual section almost everything you...
I got to agree with RWH above.
But with that said I'm guilty of doing some odd stuff to mine.
At some point your going to end up selling your rig.
When that time comes your going to be trying to sell it to 2 types of people.
Those that want to restore it and those that don't.
You will never get...
When you get a chance try putting the silver bearing up against that roof.
I'm guessing it is going to fit inside the big hole.
Normally you would have the bearing support structure to mount the bearing too.
Without it your going to have to come up with some way to support it.
They are never...
no off the shelf adapter that I'm aware of exists to do what your trying to do.
Does your roof have a hole in it already ?
Does the bearing you have fit inside the hole?
I'm guessing you replaced the fuel filter , air filter, oil filter and did all the PM's as soon as you got it home?
Or did you just put fuel in it and drive it?
