    MEP-8xx wet stack info

Howdy, MEP-802A/803A wet stack information. sample MEP-802A wet stacking A lot of the military units are run lightly loaded, or simply not loaded. They might even be started and run for a hour or two every other month. Whatever the situation, the above picture shows a case of wet stacking...

First Real load on my 803a

Howdy, Guy is right. :-P They were built to run 24/7. Put a good 4-8 hours of hard load on that unit. It will clean it up and run better.

    1983 Govplanet Hummervee

Howdy, All I can say is, "slow down slick" You could help your self out about thinking what you post first. You could have posted pics of the data plate and follow it with overall pictures of the truck. You do not need pictures of anything 5 inches close. It might be rare, but, you will also...

    LTT-TQG trailer with MEP-802a genset

Howdy, Being the case, I also assume they (cat eyes) will probably need 24v to work. M1101, M1102, LTT-TQG around 2008 and newer have Omni-volt LED marker lights, and standard incandescent bulbs in the tail lights. Yes, re-wired also with a cheapie 7-way plug, all 12v now. You only have 4...

Another way to lower an M1101/M1102

Howdy, The problem that I ran into is using the huck bolts. I wanted to put my rear leveling back on (LTT-TQG) and you can not find the gizmo to handle that large of a huck bolt. The smaller ones, yes (CAT dealer and a 18-wheeler reefer repair joint). But, they could not do the large huck bolts...

    M1101

Howdy, The trailer M110x manual has it listed as Fulton Grease Cap - 2.722" Outer Diameter - 1-7/16" Tall - Drive In I would assume any cap which is 2.72" diameter is going to work. NAPA 730-2413 CAP-GREASE/STYLE 1 You will probably need to replace the cap. There is no precise easy way to...

    MEP-802/803 fuel return improvements

Howdy, The MEP-8xx series of generator all use diesel fuel return lines. After sometimes sitting with no fuel, or heat cold, no-use etc... they start to fail. The main issue is the lines start weeping fuel. NSN 4720-01-483-6467 part N20353.5 HOSE,NONMETALLIC Name Value CROSS-SECTIONAL...

Connected my MEP-803A the proper way as my home standby generator... Install pics...

Howdy, It is also surprising of what exactly a true 10kw generator such as this can handle. It really does take a lot to get up to the 133% load line. But easily handle 10kw all day long without issue.

    New to me MEP 802a

Howdy Guy, It's kinda like saying you never did anything on a generator in the field. :) Like a only correctly running generator needs a tier 2 reset. As some know, even those were not 100%. :burn:

    New to me MEP 802a

Howdy, A typical generator in the field is repaired as needed. Small things are done and accomplished. If the generator has a catastrophic failure, it will be sent to a higher level repair facility. Letterkenny Army Depot is just one of many repair facilities. A tier 2 reset is a break down...

    802a main fuel pump woes

Howdy, The 800 series TQG has 2 different fuel pumps. The older style is a square Facet electric fuel pump. The newer style is a round Airtex E1074 fuel pump. This is the primary pump location item. A lot of the units already have these mounted, or have been replaced with the round Airtex fuel...

Civy truck to MIL trailer wiring info

Howdy, Most just simple replace the type they have. If you have incandescent, then you use incandescent bulbs. PU-798A Unit = Mep-803a on a LTT-TQG trailer (M1102) All the bulbs are standard incandescent. So swap out the bulbs for the 12v counterparts for a brighter safer day. Rear brake...

    MEP-802A/803A Exhaust Muffler

Maybe someone has a parts unit? A lot of parts are similar between the MEP-802A and MEP-803A. The gasket is the same. But, the muffler is not the same.
