......But it didn't work. Thought I could raise the rear end of the 816 so it would be easier to switch out the tires. Tried booming down on the pipe stands, and also winching up at the same time. Guess it just doesn't have enough a$$ to lift itself.
Been trying to resolve the braking issue on my 816. It all started when I attempted to adjust the brake shoes. Found that the adjusting cams were frozen; ended up replacing all of them. Next, rebuilt the master cylinder, still mushy pedal. Also determined the airpack wasn't operating properly...
Since I can't access the TM's, hopefully someone can tell me if the 900 series hoods can be adjusted. I tried loosening the bolts on the front hinges, but they don't want to budge. Any help is appreciated.
Either that, or get a REAL job....
Introducing the Florida Edition M-818 Super Sport....
Okay, I've got the helmet on.....let the thrashing begin!
Since I'm no longer trailering my goodies, I had to enlist the help of Floridianson to help me drive back a couple of recent GL wins. After a quick fluid check, jump start, and hookup of the 1009, we headed down the road back to Florida. Only glitches were a sticky gas pedal on one, and a loose...
That all this damage MUST have been caused by the "chain we use to pull all the trucks around that don't start". aua

Trying to remove the end case of the winch. The engagement handle is froze up, and the seal needs to be replaced, also kinda rusty inside so I want to make it right. Looked through a bunch of TM's last night, but couldn't find actual instructions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK Guys, I sit here awaiting the onslought......this is what happens when you spend too much time in the sun down here!
I have seen a LOT of deuces, but never one with split seats on one side. Just wondering if anyone else has run across one of these. The deuce served in Europe, has rear-facing turn signals, non-turbo w/muffler.
Found this old girl in southern Indiana. '62 or '63 5-ton dump, with 602 Continental gas motor, Holley carb. Comes with extra running motor (motor in truck has hole in block), radiator is damaged, but there, extra transfer case and winch, lots of misc parts (seals etc.). PM me with any...
I have looked thoroughly for the gear ratio for one of these units, (no tag on the differential, and no TM located). I am hoping someone who is still active duty or has experience with these units could help me out with this. Thanx, Pete.
