My truck is experiencing the same affect. I turn pretty tight in to where I park my vehicle and noticed the axle shifted. I have been driving the vehicle for a couple days hoping it would realign. So far it has not. I will try the tight circle thing. Thanks for the info.

Thats pretty slick. Another concept to be adapted would be to buy an air tank from Harbor Freight or Walmart, or just about anywhere. Many of them have multiple fittings, some in both sides. These found easily online for cheap and could be put to use with your idea. I like the option...

you can try a newer 16" tire with a tube to match, some places will still do split rims. I intend on trying that solution soon on one of mine.
