can anyone comment on what orifices might need plugged to prevent mice to get into generator box? does the 804a have holes on the bottom that need plugged like the 803a?

You get the concept - add one more chager/inverter but only use the charger function of it.
That solves the generator leg loading. Pm me if you want the contact to buy inverter I think would work best.

A couple more thoughts, about optimizing things.. why not try to find a used inverter that matches yours - either on ebay, or asking manufacturer (tech support not sales) if they have one somewhere... Also asking why they are not...

Having three inverters is about having three input ac voltages. I haven't read the manual. You can post a link , and also the relevant section on input voltages and 3 phase.
I would recommend you disconnect your kohler from house and measure ac put at the generator.
