yellow and red placards are indeed germany... i think the white boxes may be part of the LARS? gear. whatever the replacement was for the old MILES. either way i would support the theory that these are training trucks and more than likely at graf. or possibly hohnfels?
Exit 17 on the jersey tpke are you guys north of there? or south? I'll be meeting up with the convoy at 0630. They ask that you be there 1hr prior for food fuel and vehicle service if necessary. I'm gonna show up probably round 6. if you are south of exit 17

The license plate and registration numbers you are all referring to are for NTVs Non Tactical Vehicles.
That would include any of the TMP vehicles. Busses, sedans, civilian pickups and suvs. The CUCV is a tactical vehicle. It should not have been assigned this type of plate. Refer to AR-...
TMP Plates are standard NATO Plates for germany... will get a pic in a few. Never seen a plate like the White Above. Neither has anyone i have spoken to in germany. Spoke to a national friend as well she has never seen anything other than the Convoy signs and bumper numbers.
I was stationed in the WAAF area till 2007... never once saw a military vehicle with a license plate.... I've been to all the places you mentioned. Again there is a TM for Markings on MV's. There is no such thing as a licence plate for an MV. Just confirmed with a buddy CURRENTLY at WAAF...
uhm for the record active military vehicles do not require nor have i ever seen a "license plate" on any of them in germany. As for a CUCV in any military unit... there is a TM for bumper numbers and that would be exactly what the trucks should have. The VIN number is located in the same place...
