Ah, ok thanks - I must have missed it as the thing is covered in dirt.
Also I was just wondering why some 813's have two sets of headlights in the front bumper and others only have one set with no provision for another set - can anyone shed any light on this? (no pun intended :-D)
Some pics...
That's great, will do my clutch asap - Will post a pic of it so everyone knows what we're talking about
Just been tinkering about with my truck and have noticed that both my drive belts for the compressor and charging generator need replacing - thing is I can't see any way of tensioning the...
Good work on the clutch, need to tackle mine soon as I get time - do you have any pics of the tool you made? Guessing it was to turn the clutch plate adjuster? Or was just to measure the gap?
Have you taken any of the brake drums off yet? - do they have a self extractor system i.e. wind...
Clutch pedal seems ok, it's nice and light and is not spongy with air - did try bleeding it anyway just to check no air was present although I don't really think this is the problem as the clutch disengages ok and the truck is nice and easy to get into gear when the air is up. I strongly...
Thanks. Mechanically she's not bad but it possibly needs a new clutch at some point soon - although it could be a fault with the clutch release mechanism or if I'm lucky it may just need adjustment - haven't really looked at it yet though.
The crane has some bad hydraulic leaks as the...
Glad she's home :-D When are you planning to start doing that engine up? If it's a long term project then I may have a spare engine for you - I'm planning on replacing the one I have in favor of the more powerful lump found in the later Tatras, mine possibly needs a clutch soon anyway so I think...
Nice looking truck! That's the same tyres as on the 813, are they standard fitments on the Sisu from new? Does the Sisu also have a CTIS system?

Just a few questions for the other Tatra owners;
What...
No, its a Dowty pump - probably pinched from an agricultural machine of some description - This Dowty pump is a gear pump whereas the original PAL one used on the Tatra is a rotary piston pump I believe.
The fuel tank is a bit of a problem up there  My plan is to move it and the...

Beware having anything to do with this firm! Sorry to say it but the fella who runs it is not exactly trustworthy as a lot of his customers will tell you - like me! Most of his so called stock are just photos of stock held by other firms in Europe like Mortar investments etc
Sorry to bad...
Those cabs from ATH look fantastic, are they NOS? also good to hear two door cabs are available, do you know if a two door cab will just go straight on instead of a four door?
Re. the trailer thing; I found the British army used tank transporter trailers a while ago that looked just like...
Hi Duncan.
Good to see another 813 owner here, especially one like yourself who is from the U.K. May I ask where did yours come from? And what sort of work does it need?
I’m still waiting on delivery of mine which is located down by Kings lynn, I’ve been waiting for a back load to make...
Wow! A new cab for 1000 Euros? That sounds good, do they come with doors or anything else fitted? Do they have the smaller two door cabs available to? Personally I would prefer this type as it gives you lots more load area on the rear of the vehicle.
Also does anyone know anything about the...
Ok, thanks lads.
I'll try both firms to see exactly what they have to offer - I'm also still going to try and hunt down Malcolm as he's done the truck trial thing and must have quite a lot of knowledge on these trucks and their upgrades, he may also have some good contacts for parts...
Was it Malcolm Douglas? He's in the U.K. and used to participate in the Europa Truck Trials I believe? I also believe he used to run the Tatra U.K. truck dealership which is now no longer going :| I'm currently trying to track him down.
Just thought it would be helpful for Tatra owners if we had a list of suppliers from whom we could obtain spare parts.
First up: www.tatra.cz.en.spodek_en.asp
And of course www.ath-tatra.cz/EN/our-pffer
It would also be useful if people could post the links to any firms who offer copies...
