Rustystud, Congrats on the new truck. I've known from your other post that you put the 383HT in your truck. It sounds like it's been installed for a while. I'm thinking of buying 1 for my civy truck. Can you give a quick review on it? Thanks

Thank you. My plow is currently mounted on a K5 Blazer. I might run the Blazer for the winter and swap the plow onto the M1028 in the spring. Thanks again.

Cucvrus is taking the night off? Tonight was the night I was going to ask him for advice on how to install a lift kit, big mud tires, and a spin on fuel filter on my truck. Ha ha. Family time is important, looking forward to catching up on your trucks progress later in the week.

1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked.

Cucvrus, Quick question about tires. I know on the Easter Find M1008 you went with the Goodyear Duratracs. Is there any reason you decided to go with the MTR's for the M1009? Thanks.

    M1009 Little Red Riding Hood.

Times have changed. I remember when I started playing around with K5 Blazers in the early 90's. You could buy anything you needed at your local Chevy dealer. My memory may be off by a few $$, but if I remember correctly my local dealer prices were: Tailgates $98 Doors $85 Front fenders $75...

    Any Advice from you Legends!

While draining the fuel is probably the right thing to do, I gotta admit I've bought a few CUCV's that have sat for 5+ years and they fired right up with fresh batteries.

What happened here... glow plug resistor bypass?

Dirty 1, I'm glad to see that my old truck is still around. If you need a truck to use as a reference point, let me know. My M1028 has a stock electrical system except for the glow plug resistor bypass. If need be we can park the trucks side by side and measure voltage points on mine to trouble...
