    You could do that if you had a jig big enough. I think you would be making a lot more work for yourself. Removing steering column, wiring, hood and fenders. Plus the crew cab with doors would be close to 1000lbs. I had to use a twin line wrecker to lift mine back onto the frame.

    When I did my crew cabs I would wait to add bracing until I had cabs joined together. That way I could make sure it was level and square. I used pieces of wood under the extra cab to level it to the main cab. Then slide them together and take lots of measurements. Once they were tacked together...

    . I have one square piece I'm still not sure where it goes . In pic three it goes on dash over data plates.

    I don't have any of those pictures. Just used heavy angle iron frame around boxes and welded to frame extensions.

    The rear tool boxes from a M931 fit really nice on the front of the winch extensions. This is what we did on my friends old M813.

    Sounds like forth gear syncros are bad. I never heard of a bobbed deuce causing gear grinding. A bad driver will cause trans syncros to go bad.
