Blown away... wow doesn't cover it.
There have been a few $50,000 M35A2 jokes here and there, but this is the first truck I have ever seen that I would say "Easily worth it."
You have raised the bar.
Given the priorities of modern engine manufacturers, the only "multifuel" capability they would be concerned with would be diesel/gasoline/CNG. But we might be able to use such flexibility to burn waste oils, or whatever cheap fuel source is available.
We have a new method that might be more interesting...
We were discussing the design in one of my Engineering classes today. The key aspects seem to be a pre-heating of the air and direct injection of the fuel AFTER TDC. If it is hot enough to ignite gasoline, then it should be hot enough to...
Here... this is almost the only place I would trust to buy an M35A2... if not directly from a member or vendor, then from a direct recommendation from a member who knows the seller and can vouch with some knowledge of the trucks as to it's condition.

Some of us are just stalking to learn more about CUCVs.
By the way Murdock, if you can't save the 6.2 diesel engine because your grandfather needs it, there are a lot of smallblock gasoline Chevy 4x4s with destroyed bodies to salvage a low cost driveline from. That would get you on the road...
That is nothing. I have one exactly like it on my passenger side. I also sandblasted the whole truck in a professional booth and it remained the only spot of rust on my truck afterwards.
To patch it is easy as well. Take a cut-off wheel and a grinder and cut a rectangle 1/4" from the bends all...
Greetings from Kalamazoo.

Can't wait to see you around the Westnedge cruise scene.
Edit: You will know mine when you see it. It's grey and has a certain black and...
Threads like these have been great for helping me track down and fix minor issues. Thank you for the write up on what might have seemed a minor issue.

Get some brake clean and some cheap white shoe polish. (I always hated Prussian Blue in rear ends... too dark to see easily)
Clean and mark the ring and then check the contact pattern. It might feel wrong, but pattern out just fine.
You aren't kidding! I know it's just the base coat... I have one more layer to put on top of this in the spring, and then the camo pattern layers, but it sure felt good to get it done. We have a good chance of snow on Wed. and October in Michigan is already Monsoon season. I got lucky the...
My lenses came in... I'm pleasantly surprised. Glass lenses, clear with a decent material for the reflector. It came with 12v bulbs and some silly blue 194 bulb in a socket below the main bulb. I might switch that over to an amber 24v 194 and use it as a turn signal. (For $24 shipped, I'm not...
Thanks guys! I've been trying to get as much done in what little time I have left to work in as possible.
I need to re-stitch the soft top to the plastic at the windshield mount. It started to separate a little when I was trying to get the top back on last night. Seeing as the truck isn't...
