Sorry did not see your question on dash before - dash was stained to original color by Dave as part of restoration. Really makes inside "pop" lucky in that dash was just discolored - not cracked from being out when I got it at Meade. Apologies - again - for very long wait for reply. Ed
re. Fab for M1008 Bows
Excellent!
Seems enough folks are interested - if I had pipe bender I would do myself - not worth buying only for 1 project. Many thanks - I can get some measurements from pieces I have - 2 bows are intact - bent up but good for measurements.
Third Is broken but I...

Hello,
Just came across your post - do you still have the 20 foot single pole NATO Slave /Jumper Cables you mentioned? If you do and would like to sell PM me.
If the ship has already sailed can you put me on target to buy ends so I can fab one myself?
Best regards,
Ed

Hi Folks,
Thanks for comments!
Interior all Dave's doing! Dave stained dash and doors - they weren't too bad to start - faded somewhat - but restaining really makes them look good as new. Seat we left alone - it was mint from GL lot! The troop seats took me easily 40+ hours to strip as...
Hi Folks,
Finally got seats in truck after Dave's great paint and interior restore job. I will be posting more pics over next day or so but here is first lot. Next year I will have him do my M1009 after I get her mechanically fit. As you can see I decided to not go totally traditional -...
Hi Dave!!!!!
Looks fantastic!!!!!!!
Wish I could do the M1009 this year but budget won't permit - next year for sure.
I am still working on wood for seats and hope to get staining done by Wed.
Can't wait to pick "betsy" up and show her off. Will bring antennas with me
(for ride home)...
Looks Awesome Dave! Could not be happier!!!!!!! Eventually I will find a new tailgate but I can see you did as good job as could be done on that as well. Doors absolutely look GREAT!!!!! Antenna mounts look great as well - like torpedo blisters on old battlewagons :-). Will finish up seats...
Good win!
Nice trucks - I added these to my watchlist just to track price. From pics they looked very clean - paint in box is shiny new :) and body looks great. A 109A4 will be my next add but sadly that will be at least a year or 2 off as I haven't even started restore of my M1009 yet and am...
I drive mine often around town as well. Most folks don't give truck a second notice - unless they are close and see brush guard or mil stencils.
Camo gives people the idea you might be ..shall we say ...overly aggressive :-)
Mind you I think it looks really cool but some weak minded folks get...
M1009 Alt Rebuild
Hi Folks,
Looking for some where in N. VA where I can get both my M1009 Alts rebuilt. I picked up another isolated ground (Passenger side) alt as a spare (would like drivers side one if I can find as well for shelf parts). Current units are off of a M1009 with 76K - truck...
Next project: M1009 starts and runs
Posting a few snaps of my M1009 that I picked up a month ago. Finally got around to getting batteries for it and was able to start and move it around lot. Now that I know she runs I will get her titled, insured, and start restoration work. Next year - God...
