Thanks part is ordered and will be here tomorrow. I have the bezel pulled and the whole fan switch is kinda out. Maybe after I get the part I'll get a better idea how to replace it.
Found a new piece of information. The fuse wherever it is is fine. If I move the back side of the switch the fan motor runs. So I'm assuming I need a new switch?
Would someplace like NAPA carry it?
Any idea on the original P/N?
Last how do you get the back part of the switch off?
Hi All,
My fan motor switch has stopped working. It started out slowly not working and if I'd move it up and down it would start working. Now it has completely stopped. I have the dash pulled apart and cleaned all the connections but that didn't help. Then I thought duh maybe the fuse is blown...
Thanks Does it mater which way mounting rails run? Parallel to the truck or perpendicular?

Hi I know this is a old thread. Was wondering if anyone had any leaks or stress fractures in the fiberglass?
I'm looking to do same thing on my 1986 M1009.
Hi All my rear window was cranking down a little hard sometime for awhile and I just wiggled the glass and it cranked down ok. Not it just stops half way. Any thoughts on how to fix?
Can I open the tailgate with window half way down to look inside?
Saw this on Ebay and thinking about getting it. Vantech M1009B M1000 Series Pickup Rack System
Anyone have any problems mounting a rack on a M1009?
Is the truck cap sturdy enough?
Anyone have recommendations on a Rack or any pictures?
OK wanted to know how many have driven a stock M1009 through water. How deep were you in and did you do anything afterwards?
I've gone through about 24 inches of water and no issues.
Hi all I know this is an old post but wanted to know if there are any gotcha's you'd like to relay? I'm planning on trying to replace the filter and fluid in my 1986 M1009 next spring. Have not done something like this since late 70's LOL
Hi All,
I'm hearing some kind of transmission noise when I start to take off but stops after I get moving. No shakes or anything though. I believe it's from the torque converter?
Have a few questions.
1. If it is the torque converter I'm really not going to hurt anything else right if I keep...
Hi All,
I'm going to be pulling a 14,000 capacity 2 axle trailer with gravel in it about 10 miles. Wanted to see how much weight others have pulled a short distance like this. We're in Central Indiana so won't be going over any hills at all. Don't plan on having it full by any means just looking...
