Well I started with a desert tan (Desert Shield/Desert Storm era) but after seeing how bright it was at night on a test panel, I changed my mind to OD Green (1970s) which happened to be the interior color on the back side of the door inspection panel. Went to Home Depot and had the awesome...
Purchased 3 gallons of Behr paint, tint for bedliner, finished paint prep and should paint tomorrow if weather holds up.
On a side note, I went to car quest here locally in my attempt to purchase tint to match my OD paint. I brought a door inspection panel and to my surprise the "paint tech"...
Finished painting the cab olive drab, installed new air filter indicator, installed firing strips inside of camper. Removed cab inspection covers so that I can spray Raptor tintable (olive drab) bedliner inside of cab floor, and the covers separately.
Ok here's a quick question, how do you get a CHP officer to do a vin verification, the vehicle isn't registered? Do you use the DMV one way pass? Thanks.

Ha ha you funny G.I....
I went to car quest to get the tint for my tintable bed liner. I used the paint can from Behr (OD) in my attempt to get car quest to match the tint with the paint.
you crack me up......
I tried the Home Depot thing and the car quest paint gal thought I was crazy for using "house paint" on a truck. She told me that they could not match car paint to house paint. I was only trying to purchase a pint of tint for my raptor tintable bed liner. What was even funnier was her comment...
Painted the cab interior, prepped the roof for u-pol liner, painted bed roof with rv roof sealer and waited for SS web site to come back online. Man....I'm hooked! Total withdrawals!!
Well lets see, I finished fixing the cab roof rust issues, reinstalled the cab roof and sides just in case it starts to rain. I wanted to check out my insulation job in the camper so I camped in it last night. Got down to 39 degrees, I survived and so did the truck. Neighbors most likely think...
Been trolling here for awhile, got my duece in April of this year. SS has been very helpful. So, I'd like to join, can you point me in the right direction for what the benefits are and if anything I'd like to return my thanks by joining. Thanks in advance.
Finished installing the insulation, foam insulation in the gaps and finally a coat of chassis saver paint on the bed prior to sub floor install in the morning, and then fab some solar panel mounts to roof. Busy weeks, forward progress is good.
I was a city cop and I always liked to "BS" with at the time, rat rodders. Most were more than happy to talk about there rides. Now I'm retired, I have no issues with BSing with those on the line. I'm sure you'd feel very different, if that same cop was the one rolling code to a car accident...
