    Deuce Dump Truck Conversion

M16: very good summary on the options for the dump action. mud: depending on material sometimes good sometimes no good. Dry mulch, wood chips, stone all empty great. Topsoil not so much usually have to jump in and convince it. I'm only using it for house hold projects so works good enough for me

    Deuce Dump Truck Conversion

Actually no my distance is what the math worked out to be for a 3 ton load. The hoist is rated to 3 tons max and that's what I am able to dump at a roughly 45deg on the bed. The front springs on the deuce are rated for IIRC 6.5k so I did not want/need/pay extra for a hoist that could do 10 tons...

    Deuce Dump Truck Conversion

ok now I see where your coming from. I guess that's one thing to worry about, really testing the ram. That must be a nice feature, being able to do full loads and all. Since I did the bobber I wanted fully loaded capacity at the front spring ratings so its a tad over 3 tons and that's when the...

    Deuce Dump Truck Conversion

my bobber will do 2 yards of qp or any similar sized stone up to 1.5"rounds, luckily that stuff likes to come out of the truck fairly easily. When I haul 2 yards of topsoil that does not want to budge, with those loads I need to be on level ground so like you mention there is no tweaking of the...

    Off Road Lighting

The second set of lights appear to be manufactured by Totron who wholesales to small distributers. I have a few different sets of them and they are great, i just recently set up a vehicle for night scene lighting with 2 42w floods and 1 42w spot on either side of the vehicle and to say they are...

    427 Hypercycle vs. 465 Multifuel

i hate reviving a long, very long dead thread but Jatonka, were you able to swap parts from the 427 to the 465? if so what was the success. from what im reading the heads are different and so the injectors will not work? will most of these parts swap over? im away from both motors for a while...

    LDS 427 worth rebuilding

pulled the valve covers, no rust so to speak just paint chipping. it turns freely and has good compression as it needs a cheater bar to rotate. I pulled the coolant runners off the intake and checked them, they have a mineral deposite issuse so may need to flush the engine. but other than that...

    LDS 427 worth rebuilding

The motor spins free and everything I think it's ready to run. I'm just wondering if it's worth cleaning up and over hauling it or is it better for parts. So far it seems the engine is not great so not quite sure what to do

    LDS 427 worth rebuilding

I recently aquired a LDS 427 that was a depot rebuild but sat outside of the crate for a while and looks pretty bad. I was thinking of rebuilding it or taking the parts off it has everything but the turbo and the turbo to intake manifold elbow. Is this engine worth rebulding and putting in a...

What is the best way to balance 395's on MRAPs?

yes but no, the centripetal force keeps the media (either fluid or solid, what ever was put in) on the outer most position in the tire, so just behind the tread so to speak. The media that you use has an initial weight but in reference to the center line it is much more. For example i have a 12"...
