I have a five ton dump, but I am not sure if it fits a M35. On the five ton they only come one way, with both front and rear shafts. And man, they aint cheap. Bolt pattern looks the same,but gearing, gee, the five tons are a much heavier duty truck and wouldnt doubt that the gears are different...

A CJ7 was the longest I know of that the civies could buy. Was this one special made for ambulance purposes for military? As far as the date, It could be from the 70's or later, the 40's were a different body style. Most likely the 80's or 90's. Just throwing out a guess.

Yep, there was about 2 five gallon pails of rusty crud in the bottom of mine, removed it and scrapped. Couldnt find a replacement , so it has a M35 tank on it with a pressure reducer and gauge.Thats all I could do.That is on the M211. :wink:

I # 10 motor oil is hardcould not get the oil specified in the manual, the truck shop counter guys said 46 . Works well and no leaks. #10 motor oil is hard to buy in this area.

Ditto!Right now I am only driving the truck on my property, and the seat is removed. In its place a 12" styrofoam plastic covered seat, and no seat back. Much easier getting in and out. Also there is no tranny cover pans on the floor, so I can watch the pto shaft and both driveshaft universals...

I would love to do that truck pull with the 5 ton dump. At the Harford Fair. But I have never seen a tandem axle class.

I would bet theres alot of corrosion and dirt in there.

Doghead, you sure work fast. I hope to someday get a equipment trailer like you have there. Does it have the air brakes to hook up to your duece?

About the trailer, paint doesnt make it work any better. Just look closely at my rusty paint on my avatar. Now I feel better! :P
