Congrats Gunner!

I have searched all over on the Trumpeter site. I even called them to see if they're making the 12' shelters and they said no. My M1078 and M1082 which should be here tomorrow are a Trumpeter kit. Any recommendations on glue or paint? Should I shop local at the hobby shop or order online?

Welcome to the board and congrats on an amazing truck. That's the cleanest M1079 I have ever seen.

Wanted to start my collection and was curious what everybody else has built. I'm going to build a M1078 with a M1082 trailer and a S280 shelter on it. I got lucky and snagged an ITALERI shelter that is the 12' ones unlike the 20' ISO ones they only make now.

I have three S-280 shelters. Two of them are setup the exact same way. The third one is completely empty with an AC hole in the back.

All valid points, I was just curious. I am on the other side of the wall. I like buying it and modifying the truck the way I want. But I can see your side as well.

All that time and money and the rim colors don't even match. :roll:

Not "stock" but the option is already installed and they have the a/c coming from the Dash vents which isn't an option with the M998 red dot kits.

Even if they don't buy, I tell them to come on this board, sign up and learn more about them. HMMWV's are not like normal automobiles. They need lots of preventative maintenance and care, and you need to understand how they operate. Had the fan cut on while on a test drive and the guy freaked...

That's a cool machine. Put me down for one!
