I am adding an adjustable channel to my trailer so I can use an adjustable lunette. When ordering, it seems that a 3 inch lunette is the standard. Is that the proper size for our trucks?
Thanks!
Now that I have an awesome running and driving truck, I have to get the thing legal. I paid for the complete title service through GP. I called today, to find out when I would be receiving the title. They told me that they don't have paper to print the SF97 on. Apparantly the government...
Rolled the dice and WON!!!!:DPulled out the batteries...they were 2013 6TMF that were not holding a charge. Rather than replace them with expensive military replacements, I decided to go with 2 Interstate type 65 batteries. I wasn't sure if the motor was going to need a rebuild or replacement...
I finally have the truck at my mechanic's! Since it was a non-runner, I had to find a truck that could pick up quickly from Las Cruces, NM and deliver to Littlefield, Texas. I could not find a Landoll or RGN trailer, so I had to go with a stepdeck with ramps. This required hiring a wrecker in...
Well, I'll fix whatever is broken. Ugh, hope it's not the worst case scenario. This truck has 10,000 miles on it. Seems like the motor would last a bit longer than that! My EUC was FINALLY approved. 3 months later. The truck is being delivered to my diesel mechanic on Tuesday. I'll update...
I'm hoping this is the problem! I'm thinking tracking down and fixing an air leak would be a lot less $$$ than replacing internals...
The site rep told me he was able to get fuel to the IP, but that nothing was getting pumped through. Do you think that would be a pump issue rather than an air...
I have just about decided that I should have the truck delivered to a local mechanic rather than to my house. While I know I could remove the front cover and repair a shear key, or even replace the IP, anything more involved would probably be too much for my experience level with these engines...
So I won a truck and am awaiting my EUC to clear. I spoke with the site rep and he told me that he cranks the truck, fuel gets to the injection pump, but goes no further. His opinion is that there is a shear pin on the gear that drives the pin that needs replacement. Is this an issue any of...
Update:
Thanks to 98G I got the contact info for the site rep at Ft. Bliss.
I really wanted to get some idea of what I might need to do even though my EUC is still in process. I texted the site rep and he immediately called to answer my questions. As it turns out, he has two M923A2s he...
Yikes, a forklift big enough to load a 5-ton sounds like damage waiting to happen. I can make the trip to the base if that is the best thing to do. If so, I'll take everything I might need to get it started and on the trailer. I'd consider driving it home, 282 miles, but I've seen too many...
