I replaced my transmission and clutch this past weekend. When I pulled it apart, there was no pilot bushing in the flywheel.. Very *strange find indeed .. You just *ever know what somebody else has done to these trucks.

Installed new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bushing and a rebuilt transmission .. When I pulled the transmission I noticed ther was no pilot bushing in the flywheel.. Dang army mechanics..lol
Phil, I would love to go to the GA rally, but I will be at the charlotte Bank of America race.
My truck is also going in the shop to have lockers installed on the front and back, along with power steering. Hopefully I’ll be able to make it next year.

I didn’t say that you needed a new rotating assembly, just have the rods Shot peen, resized if needed and put some good rod bolts in them and have the rotating assembly balanced.

I don’t see why a duce engine can’t make 350HP and turn 3000-3500 all day long, providing that the necessary work is done to it, such as balancing the entire rotating assembly, lower the compression with custom forged pistons and high quality rod bolts and head...
