Then---as hard as these things ride--wonder if it will shake the beer to much:lol:!!
Oh, and welcome to the site from the other side of the Lochsa!

Following this thread with interest-----just dawned on me once I started reading about potato farming----I got my A$$ chewed out because of one of these trucks!!
YEP, way back when I was younger (much!) I worked for a local spud farmer.Same deal, sometimes we couldn't get into the fields...
Yep, they were for "highway" use--- not conditions that needed all corners pulling. Does it have a bed?? I think some at least may have been a fifth wheel tractor also.
Just spoke to a local WWII vet about my "new" composite bed. He went on to talk about driving a CCW (6x4) after the war...
A while back there was a thread (post?) on here about a member that discovered that the o-ring on a Ford Focus oil filter works for a gasket on a Jerry can:D.
The GF drives a Focus so I will now go broke changing the oil and filter on her car once a week so I can get enough gaskets for all my...
Yep, I've seen people just throw a chain around it--jerk it up and throw it down then wonder why the doors don't fit and the wind whistles so bad you can't hear yourself think at anything above 45mph!
Also as stated above they really aren't too heavy-- could manhandle it in a pinch.
If...
Yep, tractor will lift it, provided you get enough height of course. I would offer some unsolicited advice here ------ I would suggest you get a chunck of 4x4 wood post(and pad it as well) long enough to go thru the cab thru the door openings and use it to hook the chain to. Keeps the sheet...
HHHMMMM!!?? I dunno--kinda has that " that's the way they are supposed to look" look.
Nice job --makes me get motivated to do something with my USMC truck in the back yard.

Good thread going here--anyone know what a COA331 gassser engine weighs? How 'bout the old 5 ton gasser engines (6604??? I think-can't remember the model number for sure).
Would they and a deuce gasser trans and x-fer case fit in my Ford Ranger:twisted: LOL!
Jim
Well, I would personally take a little gamble and go for it myself.
For the price even in the worse case you could sell parts and come out okay. Also since it's not needed for a daily driver you can spend some time getting it titled. Granted, it's not as easy now to get a lost title...
Agreed with most all statements presented above--but I will add this:
In today's economic climate I get to do the the parade/carshow/motor head social functions without the HUGE costs of the "normal" collector car/ showcars.
Always cracks me up at the parade/car shows when the show car...
First, welcome to the site from Salmon River Country!
WOW! That's really nice! I think one of the nicer ones I've seen for a while. AND for that price!!?? BUY IT NOW!! You are saving so much money on that truck , you should be able to also get an M-35 multi fuel to go with it. Really...
As time marches on ANYTHING/ANYPART of WWII stuff(especially armor) will be extremely valuable. So as the warbirds went/go , so will the ground vehicles!!
John and Sue at the Warhawk Air museum in Nampa Idaho has a P-40 Warhawk. He chased down the legends/rumors/stories about a P-40 on a farm...
Nice save, and being an actual REO makes it even sweeter.
Seems like a couple of years ago when I went to buy points/condenser/dist cap/rotor the crew at the local NAPA store just gave me the "deer in the headlites" look.
I contacted Antelope Valley Equipment and truck parts (661-945-6788...
GET THE 'ELL away from it---there is nothing that will save it now except to run down the street screaming as loud as you can-------------------------------
