In the middle of a airpak rebuild ,does the felt seal in the big canister get any lube before reassembly ?Thank you

Just a few questions regarding oil pressure ant coolant temp,my oil is 30psi at idle and goes to 40 psi on the road,is this normal? also the hottest according to the temp gage is 160,on a 50 degree day after several miles,shouldnt it be a little higher? Thank you
