HI what type of trk is it? I would get a washable type (like K&N) and or a cover for it like used on the CUCV's.
pm me if you want I have a good source for filters washable ones.
I would check the steering play tie rod ends and rest but the gear box is a common thing to cause that on these trucks and 809's too.
The tires will too if they are cupping on edge's of tread also bad shocks can cause this too.
I need a tail gate & front bed panel with head board slats for a M756A2 (they only fit m756a2) I also need a ID plate for my M34 the one with the serial # on it.

I like it got any during/after pics yet? I have one like this too trying to find a SSer that would like to do this type of thing.
My trk has a 6.2 and banks turbo.
HI this will be the same for all M939 series but may need to look in the 34p tm that covers higher level maint.
You can also contact an Allison dealer or fleet shop.

HI the pump is easy to find at most parts stores or salvage yards can get a kit to rebuild it too,the e brake may just need to clean the hardware in rear drums and lube it and cables.
The axle could be bad lockup parts just check inside and see most parts are easy to get for it too.

HI well lets see TEEN+FEMALE= trouble,and yup now you see why I drive my mv's or large civ ones too, :D there was 1 in MI about 6 yrs ago,but it was 5 female's vs a train.
They were to busy jabbering and rolled right in front of an Amtrak train,all 5 killed on impact youngest was 14.
I was able to see it on utube,and fyi the trucks in it are from my unit in the cal guard (the 2632nd trans)that came back in 04 and left there and given to AF unit. I was there in 05 at camp adder.

I have a bit more info too it is 14,000 GVWR not GVW the difference is gvw is weight of trk only gvwr is trk and load weight.
A example is an M35A2 is 13,030 gvw (under the law weight if was gvw) but the gvwr of it is 16,030
A 3rd exemption to law is if you have (in commercial use) 3 or less...
