    Recovery adventure today

It is too bad that truck isn't here. I have a buddy wood tick that would even consider the rust a good thing. (he would worry too much about bumping a tree with it) Gimpy, when I noticed your avatar, I laughed so hard man. Like embarrassed myself at work hard.

We will see about that. I have to look into how hard it would be to put AC into it if she is going to be hauling a kid in July.

So I got her home and it just runs like a champ. Starts right up even though it is freezing outside. However, it had a really nasty exhaust leak comming into the cab. I had a bad hangover by the time I got home on Friday. I just assumed bad exhaust manifold gaskets and ordered some because...

I am pretty sure GSA can't even sell them whole.

M35A3 execessive blowby and blue smoke on decel

You can sometimes tell bad rings by seeing how much blow by is happening in the crank by pulling the oil cap while it is running.

    Congratulations srodocker!

You are going to have to get a bigger yard. Ohh, I'll show you how to properly get a car seat into a deuce for the next rally .

This site and its members have saved my proverbial butt and wallet more then a couple times. 15 dollars to help keep this place running couldn't be more well spent. Just let me know where to sign up. I know keeping any information system running is a massive PITA. I appreciate everything you...

I am going to repaint this in 383 this spring. It is already too cold here to respray it. I am thinking the only mod I am going to do is adding AC at some point.

    Green Disease m1009

I did it, a new member to the herd. I am going up on Friday morning to pick her up barring anything catastrophic. I can't believe I found a completely rust free one for as little as I did. It has been completely serviced, new injector pump, new injectors, glow plugs, 12v conversion, new...

    The 10x10 pls is home!

You deffinatly need that moble work shop to complete that. This is the first thread where I was really like "how...what...that... I mean... a PLS???"

car seat latch system attachment points

My seat belts are attached to the frame of the truck with a flexible piece in between. I just don't think the springer is capable of supporting that kind of lateral force that a crash will make.

car seat latch system attachment points

Me and my wife have talked about making some form of latch system in ours but the seat belt works fine on the bench. I would think of bolting rings to the seat frame but i doubt you could attatch anything to the springer that could take that kind of lateral force a crash would make. The belts...

    Sticking a 6.2 in a sheetmetal box

I have spent a long time in various HMMWVs and suburbans/1009s and they seem to not be that bad. Just put a muffler of some kind on it and you'll be ok.
