    Seat Recovering?

I thought the list looked familiar, I have it too, but I thought maybe you were in the business. It was a case of these old eyes letting me down, I didn't see the New Life heading. Had my glasses on, too...

    just curious...

Opie, I read the articles and the one about his winch is a good lesson for first time winch operators. The lever on the winch itself is not to be used to disengage the winch under load, it's there for free-wheeling the spool. Disengaging the clutch is the method and it's a good idea to have two...

    Seat Recovering?

McI, I didn't know that you sold canvas. Why not post this info in the For Sale section?

Here is my "NEW" M35A2 ,Is it supposed to whistle?

Most C motors whistle, most D turbos do not. Whistle and non-whistle is all in the design. Look at the data plate on the front right of the motor, below the manifold and you should see what motor you have: LDT-465-1C or 1D. I just looked at the pics and I see the heater installation is not...

M1008 Cargo Cover Bow inst. TM?

I'm finally getting around to installing the cargo cover bows on my truck. What is the TM that shows installation instructions? I have all of the hardware and I just laid the bows and angles (the pieces with the curtain twists) on the bed, but I haven't drilled yet. Hopefully, there's a TM that...

    Master Cylinder Vent

Be careful of that vent on the master cylinder. I got a truck in and the brake pedal was all the way down to the floor, no brakes. Figured the master was bad, but I was wrong. Unscrewed the cap to have a look inside and when I did, a vacuum was released and the pedal popped up. Brakes were fine...

    Seat Recovering?

Most canvas suppliers offer ready made upholstery, not covers. I think that Judith at New Life will make it out of the trated canvas for cab tops by request. Available in #383 Green and O.D.

    engine swap

I'll answer your question to Kenny. As stated above, the power pak comes out as a unit including the radiator. Since the radiator is somewhat fragile, I remove it, then the motor. The mass of weight when pulling the pak could get to swinging into something and damage the radiator. Extra work...

    Deuce Tips and Tricks!

When dealing with an outside flat, just place a 2x8 in front or back of the inside tire and drive up on it. No jack needed and it'll be solid so you can work on the lugs. Use a bar to lift the tire and wheel when installing, it'll save your back. When pulling a tire and wheel off of the hub...

HOLY.......someone wanted this one bad LOL

Acquisition prices do not influence my bidding, I bid what an item is worth to me, but I suppose some people use it as a bid basis. There was a time when bidders commonly bid a certain amount per dollar, like ten cents per dollar aquisition. This was usually on bulk items.

Hey, I already have Spell Check! Yep, I just highlight, copy and paste to AOL's Write Mail and do a spell check. If only one or two errors, I correct my posting, but if I really mess up, I delete my original writings, then copy and paste the edited version to my SS Reply. It doesn't catch...

Got some paper manuals on the Deuce - Now I need a Deuce!!

I'm not sure, Bjorn, but when I get chance I'll take a look. I really think mine are all 1970's and eighties. Bjorn, I went through them and do not have that manual, though I know that I've seen them someplace at one time or another.

Got some paper manuals on the Deuce - Now I need a Deuce!!

Wow, maybe hard copies are again being sought after? I invested over $600.00 in TM's, then the CD-ROM manuals came out and I've been tripping over them ever since. All NOS, some still in wrappers. A couple of three and four complete volume sets, too, but not as cheap. Almost all for the deuce...

Sting? I posted the above and then started getting requests concerning info about me shipping to foreign countries. I state right on my site that I am not licensed to export.

GL admitted the aquisition prices are two decimal points off and they hope to get it corrected real soon.

Newbie here... I may have a deuce soon...

Vehicles requiring a EUC are not to be exported, except maybe it's okay to certain countries. Luckily, I always have a buyer sign a EUC. This saved my butt when the Feds performed an intense investigation into my sales history. I was lacking one Bill of Sale due to the kid that bought the truck...

My U-joints have caps (4), each held in place by two bolts. Same as the take out front shaft laying out there. I'd take a pic for you, but it's raining like crazy.
