I like that idea. I don't want the wheel wells as wide .It takes up to much usable space. I need to get the rims changed out. I don't like the split rims on a flatbed.. Did you use a plasma cutter?
It would match the truck in you Avitar perfectly. The red for the body and the black for the tires.. You gotta love it. I will tell you at dark you can't see this thing at all..
Jay . I will be at Meade on Wednesday. I would be more than happy to take the extra 45 minutes and check the truck out for you. **** you can park it in my driveway. I have a friend that has a tractor trailer who hauls for the Military on occasion so he knows the ropes and all about transport...
For the tailgate just take two pieces of angle iron and bolt or weld then to the sides and slide a piece of wood in there. When you need to tilit the trailer you can just remove the wood and proceed. 2cents
I was looking at trailer supply and I didn't see any that were long enough.I may just have someone cut the wells out of the cargo box sitting in my back yard. Unless anyone needs a box for a 101.
Has anyone used civilian fender Wells on the military trailer? I am making a flatbed and need fender ideas. I would like to make them myself but due to lack of shop equipment I can not. Besides etrailer anybody else have any other ideas? Thank you.
Most of us use a riser plate and pintle hitch. With just a pintle it would be okay for the recovery but once you start using it for hauling you might want to keep it as level as you can. Good score.
