Just for the record its still does it. Just on faintley. You'd miss it if you werent looking for it. But the multimeter says its good to go and the voltmeter's in the green so. Replaced batteries, belts, bulb's, sockets, the alternator cleaned all connections several times and still same result...
This is what I got with my CUCV when I bought my 08 from Boyce. He didnt want to send pics because it "just opens up a can of worms". And now I see why. This was last year and I shoulda bailed on the deal when he wouldnt show me any pics, he also insisted on painting it for free, another red...
I wouldnt trade my tank heater for the world. Works great and saves my batteries to, I use Jatonka's winter front and pull right up to the garage door and if I open the hood after the tank heaters been on you can feel the heat under the hood. Of course according to the instructions your not...
I put heavy duty springs under the front of my 08 and it lifted it back up level. I wanted to keep the ridge height so I cant help ya with the crossover but I put a Spartan Locker up front and it was destroying steering boxes. So I bit the bullet and went with there hydro assist with heavy dutry...
Hey guys I've got a M715 that I was going to put a bench seat in. Everybody on the M715ZONE says that a 800 series deuce seat will work. Well I've got access to a 900 series 5 ton 2/3 bench seat. I know that it is larger but is there anyway someone that is blessed with two of these vehicles get...
If your talking about the crankcase, Shell Rotell. The only Supertech product I run in my CUCV is 2 stroke oil in the gas. Picked up a mile or two a gallon and it seems to be a little quiter. The quieter thing might be in my head but the mileage is dead on.
Thanks, it took some head scratching but we got it figured out. If you go with the NP205 transfer case then the output will be on your drivers side. If you dont want to run the extreme angle that we had to then you could always use a chain and sprocket setup. Alot more fab work and then you have...
Nice lookin K20! And I've bucked/loaded/pulled more than my fair share of hay back in the day and when that stuff gets wet its no joke. Thank God for trailer breaks!
The fairlead is tied into the reciever hitch with 1" x3" bar. The reciever hitch then got welded to the bumper and then to the frame. And then of course the beauty weld around the fairlead to the bumper. Its not going anywhere. It'll tear the truck up before something gives so I've gotta be careful.
Well just kinda what you see in the video with the bed off. Its kinda pieced together with whatever PTO parts we had laying around. I did finally get the roller fairlead done. Its made outta schedule 120 pipe for the rollers. Turned out pretty sweet.

Thanks gringeltaube! Needing the drum actual 5" drum size so I can figure out a roller fairled for the back of my M1008! You just saved me from unspooling a ton of cable.
Ya we made it home safely Jeff (after installing the right sized ball  lol ), and your right I think it must have been fate! There wasn't a time I didn't get on Steel Soldiers after that and didn't look to see if it was still there. Got her running again, off a temporary gas tank. I don't...
Jeff, again I thank you for shooting me that email. I've been on the fence about it all summer. And you represented it perfectly and for those that are reading this and thinking about buying his 818 from him, he's a good guy to deal with. Its an awesome machine in good shape and I promise you...
