We are pointing in about the same spot. But I would cut it off at the rear of the e brake opening and then remove the tacks and floor on the table as to not damage the cross member. Just my opinion.

After looking at the cross beam, I’d cut it along the front of the rear cab mount (then after you got it on the table ) cut the floor material off of the front site of the bream at the tacks.

I’ll get you some pics of removing the back section. There are some hidden tacks that slowed me down. Using the air hammer chisel was the trick for not damaging the donor.

Got the low range shifter mount removed from the u bracket and got it welded on with a new rear cab support. Welded on the 2- 3x3 by1/8 runners as well. Then spent 5 hours separating the new rear cab section from the donor.

Got the original floor removed and cut the rear cab support cut out and replaced with 1/8 2x4. Also got 4 new cab bushings built from some ford f350 ones. Next job is to frame the extension in with 1/8 3x3 and another 1/8 2x4 across the back.

Going on a metal run sometime to get 16ga and 1x2 square tubing. Thinking about diamond plate with rhino or lizard for the floor...

Got some good work in yesterday. Removed the exhaust and intake stacks. Watch out for the lines on the intake stack. The grab handles were the worst of the bolts, they will strip the heads if you’re not careful. Took the top off and shop vac ‘d the floor. Next step will be to cut the back...

We bought 2 tankers from them when they upgraded to HETs. Its a cool name, so we are going to ask if we can keep it crest on the doors.

After a lot of research I’m going to begin an m923 crew cab build. I have a donor cab ready and after checking out a bunch of builds decide on suicide doors. I have a lot of experience building and fixing all things mechanical but this will be the biggest build I have started. I will post...
