iam useing this 12/24 volt 8 amp. waterproof 3 stage charger/maintainer on one of my units right now. been waiting on a member to get back to me on a stator/regulator replacement. i plug it in after i start the gen. does great $89.00
theirs a discusion on the board right now on this topic by sewerzuk. he has a vidio on their that shows the original bar placement. i have left my 004 stock because of the deration issue. i set the voltage up some 127/219 and havnt had an issue with anything in the house. the 3rd leg i have a 2...
it might be the oil cooler leaking. they get alot of vibration. i used a small gear puller on the fan, with a gentel tap from a hammer. its a tappered fit. check your ground were your nuetral is bonded to the frame ground. clean it up good these can cause all sorts of problems.
its the nature of the beast. the oil preasure switch is adjustable. i think. i have thought about putting a toggle switch on to bypass the oil switch and then flip back, but if you forget you would no oil cutout. you could also use a momotary switch i guess so you wouldnt have to worry about...
yes, the top piece with the adjustable plate is available ebay or any trailer place. the adapter on the bottom came from hf i did some mods. to it, welded a collar on the top tube. those covers are hard to find.
i use this hitch to pull level with my 1/2 ton truck. the top hich will pull level with the 116 and both pieces for the 103. the other photos show the hole on both sides to lock out the brakes just run your bolt through.the break away lever on top has a hole that has to line up also.
if the master cylinder is bad you will have problems. if you put a 3 in. bolt through the surge brake head it will disable the brake. theirs a hole there for this.
good to know. its been a while since i wrenched on the gas sets. i still have 2 nos vr and 1 good used vr for these sets. but some of the gauges and i wonder what else in the box would need to be swaped.

saturn surplus has lots of new and used parts for your gen. your probably going to need a control box too, complete with voltage regulator. parts are heavy to. might not be economically feasable to refit.
you should see port closing mark and A and B on the flywheel. the A and B marks are your concern. A will show up just after the pc mark(thats the one with the scale) and B will show 180 degrees from A. watch your valves as soon as they close. are you aware of the firing order on the 003? 1243. i...
i have had the same problem, but the groove is cut deep so use a small flashlight. i was able to slowly rotate engine with 3/8 rachet and still observe flywheel. when you locate the marks mark them with a brite paint or marker, white worked good for me.
