Mine stays right at 170 or a little below after some intense 40-50mile trips pretty much wide open. From the info I’m gathering from you guys, it seems to be in better condition that I thought. It’s just looks rough and part of the shroud broke free but not hitting the fan.

so I hate to admit this but y’all seem like your real good people. Went to switch the good light and got to lookin at how it was hooked up. Went back to see how the other was was hooked up. The bad light had two of the terminals reversed :/ facepalm :/

When I got the truck, the driver side was always a bit dimmer than the passenger side. Any reason for this other than a failing element in the bulb? Could that be the voltage reg going bad?
Well, I think I’m going to hold my breath and plug the new one in. If it blows again, I’ll find a new person to order from or go the direction that gopher hill recommend
