It might be a dying art, but it's not a dead art (yet).
There's an Amish-based catalog store called Lehman's that I think still sells ax handles (and even scythes, with and without handles, if you might be needing one of those).
Here's the link:

Somebody told me once that you can't patch the sidewall of a tire.
I had no reason to doubt the guy who told me.
But I guess this wasn't the actual sidewall was it?
Okay, I get it. That's funny.
I thought you meant that you were saying that you pulled the differential cover off magnetically somehow or something like that. What a hoot!
I never noticed until this pic how short the bed is on our truck, cucvrus (you can' t really tell from your avatar because of the angle).
What's the story there; did you shorten up the bed, or is that the way you picked it up?
Here in D.C., every now and then you see a truck in town from some kind of vendor in New York City (like from Brooklyn, or the Bronx); and I'l tell you what, some of them are TRUE works of art (I kid you not). having been hit up by graffiti folks up that way. I'm sure the truck owners don't...
That is a really very cool idea; no kidding. [thumbzup]
If only there were a way to make it happen without mayhem:
- Like send out "invitations" (word would circulate on the street), and then host the "Paint-In" at a police precinct parking lot!
