    So the MTVR adventure begins

Very true. It would have to be much more robust of a structure, or do some kind of support leg set up. I'd like to avoid that though.

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Playing around some more with habitat configurations. 2300 ft^3 with a rear sliding expansion. It doesn't look as cool as the side expanding ones but does have a lot of advantages...1. One sliding portion instead of 2 2. The side walls encroach on the walking area when retracted. 3. often side...

    New Owner - 2001 MK25

I forget the modified numbers as the curb weight is calculated with people, weapons. So looks like my mk23 should be about 26800lbs. (1200lb weight difference with the winch) wanna drag race....power to weight ratio :)

Not sure how helpful it will be - maybe if someone needs to program an ECM after a failure.

    New Owner - 2001 MK25

Sorry you weren't able to unload! No idea why it wouldn't roll with air applied to the red front gladhand....that will release the brakes. (Although won't be controlled). Not sure why the fittings for the tank fittings didn't work, look like the very standard 1/4 NPT size I did see a recent...

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Was doing a little investigation and found out when my truck had its ECM replaced, it got the new flash file that avoids the issue of loosing configuration settings when the internal battery dies. Also seems like I got the "armored" calibration....whatever that means.

    From fire truck to MTV

A few weeks ago, I got a truck for the next build. Had a good time with the FMTV, figured I'd make another camper conversion, this time at a slower pace. It's a MTVR, mk23. Cat C12, 28klbs unloaded, 30klb payload, 6x6 with differential lockers, independent suspension, 16r20 tires, CTIS, 14ft...

    From fire truck to MTV

Took a little weekend trip to a nearby RV park. Only one other person there. Lots of trails and areas to explore. Shoveled off the pond to make the kids a hocky rink - they spent hours out there. Truck did great, I did plug in to 120V as the wife likes the relaxation of not having to worry...

Looking for M1078A1 ABS troubleshooting guide

Almost positive the 6x6 has the 4 actuator version too, unfortunately.

What have you done to your MTVR today?

Nice! First thing I noticed in the snow compared to the MTV is the ATC. MTV doesn't have it so I have to lock differentials. MTVR detected the spin and clamped the brake on that wheel (or axle) and pulled though with no intervention. How available are the front and rear turret legs?

    So the MTVR adventure begins

Well, I apparently fixed the corrosion issue on the relay. Ether system functional again.

    So the MTVR adventure begins

My ether system wasn't working, talked to the very helpful people at kbi and ordered a new system. My solenoid was stuck and had no movement when voltage was applied. I had the same issue on my FMTV. The relay was also in bad shape so got a new one. New parts arrived but didn't see the ether...

    Ether system function

Based on the information in the TMs, my ether cylinder should be firing, but it isn't. Temp is 20F, truck is cold soaked and it was 7F last night. Verified ether solenoid works fine. Verified working ether relay. Verified relay solenoid has electrical connection with ECM (can see a slight...

    M1078 A1 transfer case

I gave them the serial of my trans and they pulled up the new bearing and I asked for the gasket and they quickly put that in the order as well.

    So the MTVR adventure begins

New ether setup arrived today. Kbi were very helpful and the engineer said this is the replacement part number. Recommend a new blockor assembly (that 90 fitting/filter/orifice) on the bottom)
