NAPA part #'s for m35a2 oil filters????

On the secondary fuel filters, you have to stretch the gasket out, and it will then fit. Hold it in place for a minute or so, the gasket will shrink back down and hold itself in place.

    Oil Filter Gaskets M35A2

So the oil filters from Napa come with 2 gaskets, one thicker/larger than the other. What part numbers are those? Is one the Napa 5119? I changed my oil filters with the recommended Napa filters yesterday, used the 'thicker' gasket and fitted it under the 'lip' and torqued the canisters...

    M35 drive line information

check the fluid level? Was the truck sitting for a long while before you hopped in for a 65 mile drive? Can you change the fluid and filter(s) on that trans? Sounds like you are burning up internal parts by forcing it to go when it gave ample warning it didn't want to.

    My new M109

The electric pump works, but I have a small diesel leak at one of the plastic/rubber lines. Will be fixing and see if that makes a difference. I don't think it should, its a very small leak. I've been around trucks that start very quickly, so mine is off somewhere.

    My new M109

well, after watching that Youtube vid, I've realized that dude would have been better off not making it. No part numbers, constantly calls the parts the wrong names, installs the parts backwards, uses air line (makes no mention of if the line is good for fuel/oils), and overall seems confused...

    My new M109

Fixed a leaky hardline and bled the brakes yesterday. Seems to stop pretty good now. Takes a good bit of time to crank, (7-8 secs) but once it fires up, it runs great. What should I look for? New fuel filters and oil / oil filters are on the list next.

    My new M109

Not a camper yet, lots of little things first. Gotta fix the brakes and other odds and ends (front tires, wipers, need a spare wheel/tire, adjust the Tcase....have high range but grinds when trying to put in low range) Any tips on the fuel lines? Found this...pretty helpful...

    My new M109

Hey everybody! Recently purchased a 1966 M109 w/ow and D turbo. Hours and miles are not too high (don't recall at this moment) Here is the only pic I have of it at this time: I've been reading a ton, and have begun to fix some issues. I had to replace one of the brake hardlines that runs...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Either way, the voltage in increasing, and voltage can be calculated, so something is changing. guess the correct formula is V=I x (1/R) I work with metals and such, not so much in the water biz.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Voltage = current x resistance. As the coolant heats up, the resistance increases. That is why you see the voltage creep up in the coolant.

    M35A2 Brake line Size

Thanks for all the help. I got the leaking hard line fixed today. BUt didn't have any DOT 5 to add back, However, when I started the truck back up, I got the 'no air' buzzer and it would not build air pressure. Did not have that problem before with the leaking line. Will the truck not build...

    M35A2 Brake line Size

Thanks again. when you are bleeding the brakes with a power bleeder (i'll most likely get someone to help and bleed each wheel) but do you have to open the bleeders at each wheel when power bleeding? Just put the system under pressure and move from wheel to wheel and crack the bleeders until...

    M35A2 Brake line Size

Thanks. Had seen Peashooters thread, had not seen the DOT 3 vs DOT 5 thread.

    M35A2 Brake line Size

I'll push this back up. Just purchased a M109 and need to go through the brake lines. I know of one leak. It was asked before, but is someone selling entire replacement kits? My plan was to take off the offending section and go to Napa and get lines and fittings to replace. This should be...

    M109 vs m185

I found a 1966 m185, non turbo, and the owner thought the m185 meant no turbo. But its just an older deuce.

    M109 vs m185

do the M185 have the same drive train as the M109 and M35? are there A2 and A3 (automatic) versions of the M109/M185?

Deuce Trip from MD to CA

still gonna get the truck? the 3 wide isn't that bad in the cab, it is wide enough (barely) but the guy in the middle will always be in the way of the thousands of gear shifts you will have to make. There really isn't room for a third person on a trip like you had planned.

cost of ownership (the real cost of a deuce)

I've been watching prices, and yes, they have gone up a bit. Even reading through this thread it is obvious.
