MEP-003A Seized
Actually, I'm not sure. I was thinking that would be one of my next moves as well. Isolate the generator head from the engine. I would do that before thinking about another engine anyways so what do I have to lose.- Timeline98

MEP-003A Seized
I acquired a MEP-003A in a GL auction. This is what I found. Hr Meter = 702 No Oil filter in the Oil Filter Housing. No Fuel Filters in the primary or secondary Fuel Filter Housings (Strainer was there) Water/Diesel in the Fuel Tank (rust on bottom of tank) Greyish Oil in the Oil Pan. Rust in...- Timeline98

new to me MEP-003A with possibly bad engine?
Mep-003a What was the outcome on this? Was the engine frozen? If so, did you ever get it to free up and what did you do to get there? TY- Timeline98

Gensets from GL today
Mep-003a Won a -003 out of Letterkenny. Picked it up on Wednesday with no problems. GL was friendly and easy to work with. Loaded it up and strapped it in within 15min and was out the gate. The Big question, does it run.....??? I'll find out next week. Got plans for Auto Start and Homemade ASK...- Timeline98
