I would just add to the other chain, so you wouldn't need that much. Maybe a foot on each chain would be plenty. I think 3/8ths is fine. The good chain is grade 70 or better.
That's what we are planning to do also. Please post up your pictures. Have to add some metal to the floor and maybe something outside to tie in the fenders with the sides.
I believe, I read where they added the extra ribs to the A2 for the lifting U-bolts on the outside. I have two exactly like that. A3 axle with A2 body. They are good trailers.
My mep-003's are on a trailer with one of the ass. boxs mounted between tghem . Fits lots of stuff. Maybe add to the " new idea for a ammo box " thread!

Jerry, my spacer was bent up a little, but not shreded. You might need a new one. I never read where you don't need one in there. There's a better picture of it on page 7-32. If you can go to the Ambac website and look at the model 50 service instructions, it shows the Oldham plunger guide...
The fuel filters I got did not have the right gasket. They were alittle too big. I ordered SP101489 gasket from Tractor Supply. Cheap, I got 12 right away.
