Datadog that was a nice post. I have been in on group buys in the past at lesser sums, but having all buyers put up the funds to back the LOC is a great idea.
The list always changes through the last day. Some folks come and never post up others just never show. Winter wheeling is fun. Cold wet tires and snow make things a lot more slippery. Between March and October we usually have it plenty cool.
The OP has an opinion but it is based at least in part on a misimpression. I built a bobbed deuce. I used springs and hangers from a 105. I did not cut up two trucks, but I did cut up a trailer.

I've had four deuces and three five tons. I now have one deuce and still have all three five tons. I think the 900 series five tons are easier to drive. Power steering and an auto transmission help. In terms of width and wheelbase, there is not much difference. Just my opinion.
I have not been to this show. I live about an hour away. I could bring my 931A1 or Unimog if there was room for display parking, or is it just vendors who park vehicles on display? Or just club members? Either way looking forward to attending.

We were only on one blue trail, 23, the rest were green. CUCVs fit in the woods better and the big trucks have more ground clearance. Each vehicle has its strengths and weaknesses. I had planned on bringing my mog, but I bent the jack on my trailer "off-roading" with the trailer last month...
