Nice set up. Thanks for your work with the scouts. I am still involved with the scout troop that I joined when I turned 11, and I'm now 52 and my sons are 32 and 30 and have moved far away. It is not the same as when I was a kid, but it is still a great program. Last night I did some...
I used the method shown above and the results were great. I did mine with a piece of trim coil (soffit and fascia material) about 8"x24". You can do it with the wheel mounted and get the lug nuts and Brake drums at the same time.
I was really surprised to find that when I went to replace a wheel cylinder on my '73 m109a3 that it was metric. Others on the same truck were standard.
The Florida member database is showing a couple of members in Tallahassee. You might try pm'ing them to see if they know anybody.http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/85965-calling-all-ss-floridians.html
There has been a lively discussion on here about the benefits and drawbacks of the different types of paint spray guns. Depending on your budget, I understand others have had good results using only the gravity feed inexpensive guns from Harbor Fleece. Personally I would try and locate either...
Below is a picture of 2 M353's stacked by GL at Mac Dill. In retrospect the forklift the GL dude used was really too small (forks were only about 4 ft.) and it was probably not a good idea to attempt it but we made it happen and it saved us an extra trip. Could have used more tongue weight but...
I got super lucky buying a deuce out of WR w/o a preview, but I live 300 miles away. At 75 miles away you should definitely preview and/or get a SS member to preview it for you. PM Mdmorgan or SETOYOTA to see if they can help you out. Buying one from a member has a lot of advantages that are...
My bad-I was thinking this-Pasties (sing. 'pastie'[citation needed] or 'pasty') are patches that cover a woman's nipples and areolae which are affixed with adhesive. Though pasties are commonly associated with burlesque and erotic entertainment, they are also at times worn as an undergarment and...
Must be an early one cause it looks like it has the thumbscrew battery lid. I'm not sure I want to ask this but in pic #2, WTH are "Gram's Pasties"?
Looks like great find. Glad your dream is coming true.
The advantage of a pressure pot is that gun position doesn't matter so you can spray sideways or upside down which can be important on the underside of the truck. With a gravity feed gun you have to hold it so the reservoir is up. Also they can hold 2 1/2 gallons or more, rather than the pint...
I definitely wouldn't try to paint the underside with a gravity feed gun. Pressure pot or airless if you are shooting the house paint. This also doesn't look like a true HVLP. But then again its $15 bucks. This gun is similar to my gun I used to do the edges/tight fade on the camo on my...
