I'm getting a bit confused here. When cranking the engine over what PSI should I have at the injector? I know the HH creates lots of PSI but not till the engine is running I would assume. What's the acceptable range the injectors pop at? Guess I'll read the TM again, for the 10th time!!!
yep
The fuel is mixed with quite a bit of gas and kero so it's pretty thin. My FDC is bypassed so all is good there. Would like to try the diesel/pump idea. Maybe I can borrow one from my bro Kipman.
yep
Kenny,
Are you talking about the cover with 4 screws on the side of the IP? The one that's below and behind the HH? If so, I've had that off and one a dozen times, all seems fine in that area. Haven't taken the fender off yet since she's very old with flat fenders and lots of room to...
Tom,
The HH are new GL surplus, stamped rebuilt by Ambac. The guy I got them from has sold many and all have been fine. The HH that was originally in the truck was doing the exact same thing.
pump
I can hear my in tank pump running but never thought that it might only be pumping half what it should be. Will be looking into that tomorrow. Anyone know what PSI I should be getting on top of the secondary filters?
OK
I bled the secondary filters and got a pint of fuel out in 15-20 seconds. Where do I hook up a gauge to measure pressure? Maybe I'll pull my in tank pump tomorrow and take a look for partial blockage.
Nope
I haven't checked that JD. Talked to lots of people that said if the HH was getting fuel then the fuel pump should be fine. If the HH is getting fuel but the pressure is low would the output from the HH to the injectors be so low that the fuel would just dribble out of the line when...
Was having trouble starting the deuce, got worse, took lots of cranking and pedal feathering. Changed all filters, in tank pump works well, looked for leaks, kinked lines-nothing!! So with some consultation from those who know we decided I needed to replace the hydraulic head. Got a rebuilt unit...
I understand how everyone feels about GL. I've had my issues and run ins with them, but I continue to buy nonetheless as I always make money on my purchases. The key for me is previewing. I'm at Creekside at least once a week, and I know most employees on a first name basis. Does it suck that...
I was there previewing today and I saw lots of newbs with drool running down their faces!!
I'll be curious to see if the smaller lots starting at $25 end up being a permanant thing.
Just what I need, more people bidding on stuff!!
