Like I said "birth of my son" won't be at my shop for over a week to be able to get you pics of my seal installers. So have patience and thanks for the congrats :)
Found this while awaiting the birth of my son... A bit pricey but would make a clean install. Any thoughts?

Yes seems like I just read a similar thread last night. Not sure how true it is but it's definitely plausible depending on the oil passage that it's tied to, so I am gonna try and do the same and find a freeze plug.
Enough of them.
MOST 99% seals that pass an air check on reassembly will last the life of the transmission. I find it funny you haven't even bothered to ask what method I'm using to install the seals yet would rather argue. The method I use is just as reliable as an installer but your more than...
I got the transmission and transfer case mated to confirm that to do a 2wd-4wd 4L80 conversion you will need the 2 5/8 adapter housing and the 3 3/4 output shaft. Now as for Plugging the orifice in the rear of the case, i have been unable to locate a transmission parts supplier that can find...
I'm looking for the specs on what length of output shaft to use for the conversion.
I do see the hole your referring to, it's a plug in the transmission case. Is there a different plug that I need to attain?
Since no one has the exact specs for the output shaft and 4wd adapter I am kinda halfway shooting in the dark. But what I decided to go with to see if it matches the np208 is the 2 5/8 adapter and the 3 3/4 output shaft. I should have the rest of the transmission back together tomorrow and the...
i need some helpful info. apparently there are two different length output shafts to choose from for those of us converting 2wd 4l80's. Can anyone tell me if i need the 3 3/4" or the 5" long output shaft to go with the NP205? Thanks
Also to comment on the special tools, I haven't spent anything...
Just picked up everything I need to turbo my M1010 from a donor 6.5 1995 model for about $220.
Here's what I pulled:
Upper Intake manifold
Lower intake manifold
Turbo
Passenger exhaust manifold
Driver exhaust manifold
Exhaust crossover pipe
Turbo downpipe
Fuel Injectors
Fuel lines
Glow...
Not necessarily, you will have to deal with the added CTIS. Also the seals are different to my knowledge. I believe the only thing that is the same exact process is the boots.
I picked up a 98 2wd 4l80e for $110 on Friday. That being said I will have to convert it to a 4wd setup. I'm gonna go through the transmission myself as I own/operate a shop so I'm thinking I may make a "brief" thread on going through the 4l80e. If that would have any appeal to anyone and/or...
At this point I think ill go with the TCI unit. I has the same features as the more expensive units but less $$$. Looks like itll run about $730 for everything on the controller side. Unless someone else has a better solution.
