Winching under & to the rear

Exactly, thats what I envisoned, but then with the cable rubbing the axle, I was thinking a skidplate at a shallow angle to rub/draw across to avoid the cutting action of the cable on the axle itself. As some members pointed out, "by the time your stuck, your probably to the axles so how you...

Winching under & to the rear

I didn't see anything in search that covered it, but I'v been wondering about if it is advisable or safe to run the cable down, then under the axles and back some distance so that you could pull yourself back out from some pickle you drove into, inother words pull backwards, and iff you can...

Needle scalers to remove rust and paint

Well I went ahead and got the smaller one from HF and got it home. It will work with the air supply in bursts of about 5-10 seconds. Worked great on the side of the bed, around the pockets and in the corners. the winch came out way nice and the hubs and wheels excelent, just alot of waiting for...

The bottom line: nobody makes hubs for a 5 ton??

Can you have the insides of the stockers milled to de-spline them like some of the Deuce guys do? Then with a 'good' set (with splines) and one without you could choose to freewheel or not, just a fiew bolts, its off and back on, and a gasket now and again. You could probably get a gasket to...

Another guy on the forum was looking for boots, his question was where to find GOOD ones "that would last more than a year' or something of that nature. It leads me to believe the replacements ar'nt as good as OEM ....? I did one of my boots a couple months ago, a zipper job, and it was a P I T...

Atankersdad has the one kind of adapters, but they still fall short of my idea of having 6 to ten bolt adapters so's you could run all those cool 10 bolters which seem so cheep. mabe its just time to get 5 Ton axles for the Deuce
